Ezeiruaku announced he is switching his jersey number

To me, Charlie Waters is a legend, who deserves to be in the Hall of fame and no one should wear his number 41.

He was one of the greatest 3rd round picks in Cowboys history, along with Jason Witten and Harvey Martin.

He had 41 career interceptions, third-most in franchise history. He played in 25 playoff games, which ranks 5th in NFL history.

Waters played 12 seasons in the NFL, never experienced a losing season. He played in five Super Bowls: V, VI, X, XII, and XIII, with victories in VI and XII.

He holds the NFL record for most playoff interceptions with 9, including 3 in one playoff game, and has the unique achievement of blocking 4 punts in 2 consecutive games. He also was the team's holder for placekicks.

He was a hero cherished by all.

Larrimore wasn’t he part of that draft year where Dallas took about 4 corners early none of them panned out . One of them drunk driving killed someone driving home on Stemmons freeway about 2am , went to prison. Campo or maybe Gailey was coach .
I believe it was three corners: Dwayne Goodrich in R2, Larrimore in R4, and Mario Edwards in R6.

Edwards was the only one of them to actually play significantly (47 starts), but he wasn’t good at all. These were the dog days of the early 2000s.

Outside of Wilson and now EZE, the #6 had only been worn 4 other times, by kickers or punters.

Thank you for the update . Yes they went need instead of BPA and struck out .

Orlando Scandrick was a later draft he played for both Dallas & Philly . Was once a decent serviceable slot willing to actually tackle people . Then of course subsequent drafts hit on Jourdan Lewis and Anthony Brown got alot of mileage out of both .

Here we are 26 draft and I think wisely Dallas has taken in two DB’s with NFL experience from the Rams , playoff reps as well and INT’s in big game . Plus the signing of the safety out of Az and Dallas should not feel desperate in the secondary . LB & EDGE much more glaring .

When the NFL allowed its players to freely change numbers like this, it was the death of the licensed jersey business. Will the 255 people who bought his jersey last year be offered a free replacement?

i think maybe @maryquality put you up to this :flagwave:

Don't know if this is worth it's own thread, but safety Jalen Thompson has taken jersey number 34. Shavon Revel, the previous 34, is switching to 20.
