The hype stemmed from reports of how he good he looked in camp. If you want to use preseason to determine how bad or good he is be my guest. But as I said earlier all they did was report what they saw. You guys calling it hype based on what? A few posters on Cowboyszone?

I think hyping up any player in pre season is dumb, more times than not the hype never delivers. Plus hyping up a player who hasn’t played a snap in a real NFL game is dumb. Mazi was hyped up the minute we drafted him based on his words, how ridiculous is that?

Obviously fans can hype up whoever they want, whenever they want, I just think it’s pointless until we see some real game action. I’m not saying it’s just cowboys fans either, every fan base has fans that do it, I don’t.
 
Better off to just cut him now. He's a 2nd rounder so he will most likely be a bust. Dont even give him a chance just end it now.

Then came the “DT’s don’t develop overnight, it takes at least 2 years” then it was 3 years.

Right like a player CAN'T show some promise in his first few games/practices, oh he needs time, he needs to develop!!! You're talking about the same guy that says he likes to HIT PEOPLE, yeah right he gets hit BY people!! Terrible pick

Some draftees, signees, all that are pet cats. Who cares, let them hype. reality will even it out. im sure plenty of older fans were like This Roy Williams (the safety) is gonna suck, YOUR HYPE WAS OVER HYPED. Good, now that we got the stupid out of the way.

Do you know what he was told to do? Do you? Alright than. the coaches found out what they needed to know and make adjustments. Wow someone had an opinion. Who cares.

Acknowledge the good and the bad but we need to keep everything in perspective and make sure we are not getting too high or low on these guys as they go through the inevitable rookie roller coaster. We are still guessing what these guys are going to be in 2025.

I don't mind fans gettin' overhyped ....or underhyped. Fan as ya want!

What I don't take kindly to is insulting each other about it.

He wasn't dominated. He only played like 20 snaps in the first 4 series. Most pass plays, Bennett got rid of the ball almost instantly because the DBs were so bad. There was one or two run plays on his last possession where he got whipped good, but other than that, there wasn't anything to react to with disappointment.

he was playing up against those he should have been able to if not dominate certainly show more than he did.

I don’t know man between this and the joint practice, it looks like he was getting glorified for beating his teammates which unfortunately aren’t that good.
