After the first preseason game? Really?

Our roster was ranked middle of the pack at best by many entering the game. We have one more preseason game to get a gauge on what we have with some of the better younger players we have because not sure how many players we’ll risk in the final preseason game. EZ needs to look a lot better next week. He did absolutely nothing yesterday which is pretty discouraging for a second round pick. Hopefully he doesn’t end up another miss in the second round.

The hype machine will hopefully slow down on this guy. He was totally and 100% dominated by whoever the Rams backup RT is. I mean dominated. Pretty obvious to me his “stellar” play in camp is more about how bad our tackles are more than how good he is.

Did you watch the coaches film where you can focus on 1 player every play?

I will say this. You do want to see your team get in a rhythm.

The year Wade Phillips was fired mid season we had one of the worst pre-seasons I’ve ever seen that leaked into the regular season.

Yeah I said it in the game thread. Preseason is a poor barometer for the regular season, HOWEVER there was little to he encouraged about. Taking our scrimmages vs Rams into consideration it feels even worse.

Couple things:

You guys are way too negative. This guy has the hard part figured out - technique.

Sure the NFL tackle quality is a huge step up. He needs to figure it out and I thought he was trying new things out there.

1st preseason game means nothing.

He will look different when the starters are out there.

He is a second round pick did we expect Von Miller?

Give the kid a chance. He is a quality player and it is going to work out.
