...bursting thru a massive hole like this:
Ramsey, Henry would make me very happy.
Elliot and an extra two would too.
Nice writeup although I don't have time to read it in its entirety. Only thing is I want to point out is this video says that Henry has the fastest takeoff speed from get go so you saying he would need a runway to get going is a little questionable. Now if you are saying he is not a fast at seeing an open lane, no not as fast as zeke.
That being said, zeke is by far the superior back and would love to e him first.
I don't think it's questionable at all. What I see does not suggest that this guy is a quick start. What the combine numbers suggest is that he is not a quick start. I honestly don't know how they measured Henry because what you see on film and what the combine suggests does not support their statements. JMO
Luckily it's easier than ever to watch complete games of college players. If you just search YouTube or Derrick Henry VS, you will find complete games of Henry or Elliot ect...
I agree with you. I watched several complete games of Henry and he plays slow. He hesitates and goes down by small college CB's. I see his stats and his 40 times ect and I am picturing a human plow running over guys. Then I actually watch him play and he goes down about as easy as Felix Jones or McFadden.
I would prefer one of the other backs over Henry like Collins, or Booker ect.
Not that I am advocating this but imaging
Pick #1 Tunsil
Pick #2 Henry..
Holy Cow..... I am going for it on all 4th and short.
He definitely needs a full head of steam. He can easily be tripped up in the backfield. I like Elliott a lot more.
Yeah, but if the team drafted Tunsil in round one, how often is he getting "tripped up in the backfield"?
Ramsey, Henry would make me very happy.
Elliot and an extra two would too.
The test around 1:30, DH trying to change direction was alarmingly bad.
Well there's also no guarantee he's there in the 2nd, or that we get him in the 2nd.
Right there with you.
I think Henry goes middle to late 2nd? Anyone else think that or am I dreaming?
I could live with both scenarios - I would prefer the latter. But either would have to be considered a draft day haul. With that said, I think the "trading up" market has cooled considerably since both QBs are gone, we might not get the offers we're hoping for.
I have a hard time fathoming why someone would be okay drafting Elliot at 7-10, but not at 4. Seems an absurd distinction to me. There's just so much to love about him.
