The Joneses are very slow to react to what happens in the NFL. They have always believed free agency is a process that covers you for errors made in drafting rather than using it as a means to marry your draft with free agency to get the best of both worlds.

It's not only the draft they are stuck in their ways with. Other teams realise the importance of a hybrid DEF to not only play to your strengths but to be less predictable. Teams like the Patriots, Ravens, Giants and Rams understand this, we don't. We should be building that right now with Quinn. We don't need players that can only play his scheme. Might work for a year, but will soon be found out.

His scheme from Seattle includes a leo position and has strong side end playing 4 tech. Remember Bruce Irvin & Red Bryant?

It is interesting watching our strategy against the backdrop of the division. You have two teams in the Skins and Giants who see themselves trending up but with clear holes and they have attempted to fill a few of them with quality players. You have the Eagles, clearly in some sort of rebuilding mode/restart dumping their franchise QB who also lacks cap flexibility to make any real solid moves in FA.

Now, looking at the Cowboys, we think we are the Giants and Commanders but act like we are the Eagles. LOL.

How many times can someone fall for the same trick? This front office either has no clue or has no care..either way, this team has no chance...they fielded the absolute worst defense in franchise history and they decide to do nothing about it in free agency..that's a slap in the face to the fans

Last year's free agency haul(or lack thereof) and subsequent performance of the 2020 defense would have resulted in numerous firings within the front office of most NFL teams. But unfortunately we have a front office where accountability does not exist, so we as fans have to accept things will never change.

What will be interesting is seeing the newly added weapons the WFT and Giants have against a Dallas defense that has done nothing to improve. I guess JJ is thinking Dak will just outscore everyone.
