Personally I don't care what he does, as long as he doesn't get suspended and helps the team. I could care less what he does in his off time. You want a team full of choir boys?

No need to put up straw men like "choir boys"
There will be plenty of players at the top of Rd 2 who have the potential to be long term impact starters and are not druggies and not goofballs

I agree, im going based on what has been said, and the Cowboys apparently liked Nkemdiche. This was before the interviews so who knows. I was just trying to be realistic.

We have a good history drafting RB's in the 1st round, 2 of them are hall of famers....I wouldn't mind a slight trade down and picking up Elliott. #7 sounds about right too. what could we realistically get to trade down from #4 to #7.

Im thinking a 2nd and maybe like a 5th. Nothing more. Id be ok with just the extra second

With all due respect, this sounds like, "Personally, I don't care if my wife is cuddling with another man, as long as they don't have sex."

One action portends a great likelihood for the other action.

If Nkemdiche has a problem with drugs to the point that he's jumping out of fourth-floor windows, then it's highly likely he's got a huge problem and will likely he'll smoke again and get himself suspended.

Look what happened to Randy Gregory?

If you're going to take a player like Nkemdiche, you do it with the compensatory fourth round pick. Our first four picks need to be either a future quarterback and three potential starters or four potential starters. Either way all of the picks we select - outside the future quarterback - should contribute to the team in a significant way this season.

I don't think we should gamble on any players who are either question marks through attitude, drugs/alcohol or injury. This would rule out Jaylon Smith too. I wouldn't touch him except maybe with our compensatory fourth round pick.

What happened to Randy Gregory is that if his talents translate well with the NFL and he can gain a few more lbs., we may have an elite RDE for years to come. Just gonna take a little longer to find out. Did he make a dumb move? Yes. He's still on my team and I still wish him the best. Don't bash your old toy when the commercials for the new ones come out!

As far as Nkemdiche, I actually did something very similar at around the same age. My repercussions were not as grave, but I was embarrassed; incredibly embarrassed at what I did. I saw that a little in Nkemdiche when they interviewed him at the combine. I'm rooting for the guy and if he's sitting at the 2nd, I feel like I'd be kicking myself for the next decade for not getting him. That's just my opinion of the guy. I understand if you see it differently. I would rather root for a guy who had a "Thad" moment, then a guy who hit a woman. That's just too much!

Didn't Suh have issues in college? Hes had some problems in the league. Still an incredible talent.

Just curious. Did you jump out of a fourth-floor window while you were under the influence?

You're entitled to your opinion. I can't take that from you. But I want nothing to do with Nkemdiche in the second round. Even if he turns out to be an All-Pro, I won't regret it because he has shown behaviors that give me pause. And I can't rue making decisions on a solid foundation, whether they back fire or not, because 9 times out of 10, they're going to prove themselves out over time.

Went up to the roof of my dorm screaming "I'm the king" in the buff, followed by dislocating my shoulder, fracturing my wrist and getting hairlines on a couple fingers after trying to tackle a tree. Finished with my friends stuffing bread in my mouth to try and prevent a hospital visit for alcohol poisoning. Worst part was going to class on Tuesday with the professor who was yelling at me to come down from the roof. Still recieved nowhere near the flack that Nkemdiche is getting and rightfully so. I respect your opinion to steer clear. We've been burned with these issues a few times now. The reward of this case, to me, outweighs the risk.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Sorry if I :laugh:but the "I'm the King" buff part was funny.

If you ask the buddies that were around, they'd tell you the argument I had with the tree was the best part.
