FA Pass Rusher

So the bottom line seems to be from this thread that we need to find a pass rusher at DE?

If so who could that be?

Now maybe if we got a seymour lite at DE in front of Spencer we could get that kind of pass rush from the other side that this D really needs.

Is there one available?

IF NOT then we have to replace Spencer with another OLB that can get us at least 8-10 sacks a season.

Bottom line is sacks and pressure.

As regards Rat, I think the idea should be to somehow get him 20 snaps off during the game so he is fresher in the fourth.

Like we need to somehow give Ware some rest so he is fresher in the fourth.

So does anyone have Names of FA's at OLB or possible draft choices at OLB or DE?

Speaking of making stuff up. Ratliff moved to NT in 2007 after . He played DE fulltime in 2006. Bowen was only activated for 1 game in 2006, so I don't know how Ratliff was "buried" behind him. If he was buried behind spares like Coleman and a rookie Bowen, it only goes to show how ineffective he was at DE.

He's not a sacred cow. But when you got a starting 3-4 OLB who averages a completely laughable 4 sacks a season and is a walking punchline like Almost Anthony Spencer, let's just say there are more obvious opportunities for upgrades at other positions.

4 sacks as a rotational 3-4 DE is very good. The stats do not support your assertion that he was 'ineffective' at DE. He was quite good out there.

There is only 1, 3/4 team that gets that kind of production from both of there OLB's there are plenty of teams that get better production from there D linemen I think upgrading the d-line is the easier upgrade.

Just look at what Houston gets out of there D-line.

Shaun Rogers didn't play nose for Ryan and mostly sat the bench.

I know this blows your mind, becuase he's exceptionally fat and therefore "teh truz noztacklez!!11111111"

Rogers played NT for Ryan in 2009 until he went down with an injry and Rubin took over at NT, and played so well he continued starting there in 2010 for Ryan.

So in Cleveland Ryan had no NT under 330 lbs.

Again, i rest my case.. you nitwit.

The idea that a fat slow tub of lard is going to help Anthony Spencer turn the corner faster on the edge is ridiculous.

The idea you have in your head of what a NT does and is is the ridiculous part.

As if any overweight 350 lbs dude off the strett could come into the NFL and play nose tackle. Its not even worth debating anything with the asinine comments you are making now.
