Are Hall and/or Jammer better than Anthony Henry? If I could pick one of the three to start opposite T-New, I'm not so sure who I would pick.....

I'd take Hall.

Yeah, whatever, he struggled last year.

But I'll take an athletic, 23 year old CB to pair up with Newman....Hall will improve. He needs a better pass rush to help him out some and he'll be fine.

Hmmm, Leonard Davis must be considered a bust too, especially where he was drafted. So are we on or off Bigg's bandwagon? Do we like or don't like his signing?
He's been a pro-bowl alternate for several years now, is described by Edgerrin James as being completely dominating (if you recall the quote about not getting beat consecutively) and seems to hve only struggled at LT.

Not really a parallel, unless you want to claim Jammer should be a safety. Dunno that would do any good, tho - as a rule, you should almost never take DBs from the Big 12.

There's no such thing as too much DB depth. They are like relief pitchers in baseball. They may not get the glory or the recognition that some other positional players may get, but w/o them, you'll likely get exposed and not get very deep into the playoffs.

Man! I couldn't have said that any better!

That's a very good point I don't think I can counter. I just feel that being drafted 2nd overall, Bigg should be like a Pace or Ogden. However, I'm looking forward to him finally playing at an elite level at RG.

I would take Jammer in a heartbeat and YES, place him at FS where he belongs. He does not have "it" as an elite level CB.... :D

I would too. Needs discipline and he'll be fine.....

He's also been on a totally crap team with a .333 winning percentage over his time with them. Can anyone think of more than a few decent players on those teams? That team is a joke -- a stable of great WRs and not an ounce of effort until last year to get someone to throw to them!

Pace and Odgen are outstanding -- but they also have had better supporting casts. Had the Cardinals not sucked, folk's impressions of Davis would be far different.

Yeah because Cromartie, Jammer, Hall and Houston are bums....

I would be scared as an OC of passing to my wideouts in a few years if Cromartie and Oliver were on the same team and will have had a few seasons under their belts. Jammer hall and Houston are bums, you are right... you can have all the great corners you want but if you have crappy safety play teams can eat you up all day ala Denver and John Lynch and Nick Ferguson... as we have proof on our own teams with bad safety play.

Cromartie and or Oliver can play cornerback and Safety... SD would be a good fit for Oliver; watch for them to make a play at him IMO.

I never said Hall was that good... We all know he's overrated. But the Falcons certainly aren't looking to replace him.

Jammer hasn't lived up to his draft spot, but he just got an extension last year. So the Chargers aren't looking to replace him, either.

Cromartie and Houston were just drafted with high picks, and they're both very physically talented. Their teams wouldn't be looking to upgrade them already.

My point was simply that judging by the corners these teams already have, Oliver isn't seen as starting caliber by these teams. That doesn't mean someone wouldn't see him as a good nickelback, but he's probably not a starting type as some said leading up to his workout.
