I’d say I just don’t care anymore.

What’s the point of being outraged? It is obvious that Jerry and/or Stephen will run this team as they have over the last 3 decades for another 3 decades.

I rip Jerry and Stephen every time I have something to say about them, but realistically there is nothing we can do to loosen their grip on power. They simply don’t care.
Your message is right on point. The franchise is a joke. It is embarassing wearing anything Cowboys related. I have put my caps, tees and sweats so far back in the closet, they will never see the light of day.
I won't buy any tickets and will not watch any of their games, unless the opponent is a team that I find interesting to watch.
I do not care one iota about this failed franchise and the dummies that are air qotes "managing the team"

According to Eatman, everyone who attended were impressed by the press conference.

It lasted all of about 2-3 days. I really don't understand how anyone right now can get excited to post anything Cowboys right now....I realize that we have to move on, but fans as usual have pretty much already accepted this S show without doing anything. I'm already hearing local talking heads attempting to justify Chuckles "drought" comments....I honestly believe, that 105.3 The Fan radio hosts have been warned again. Just a sad state of affairs....pathetic.

I dont support the hire at all, but he has to fail before I can kick him while he's down.

My parents and I began our Revolt after the 2009 season when we stopped attending games and buying Jersey's, etc... We have been aware of the Jones' incompetence and direction (or lack there of) of this organization for over 14years now. I have been trying to convince fellow fans and relatives to STOP going to game and buying merch through the years. My family and I simply watch games on TV while enjoying food and snacks while not getting high or low over wins/losses. We are definitely NOT invested like we were throughout the 80's & 90's.

We know deep inside that no matter which coach is hired the result will be the same due to the incompetence, lack of care, or both of the GM and his family.

they are all disgusted. no sense in expressing it because Jerry won't change a thing. I mean jerry called them the ********** and miniscule percentage of fans!!!! that's how much he cares...by insulting them.

Anyone holding a grudge can only justify that in terms of holding it against the Joneses. And some of us have the humbling recall that we also thought hiring a college coach to be crazy at a moment in time when the NFL had never... never... seen any college coach make the leap and have success. Jimmy Johnson, I'm sorry to have doubted you. But I doubted you a long time, actually.

This isn't hiring a sure thing, but the surest thing that even came on the market this off-season was the guy who we had here and who left. No one else was/is a hands-down obvious winner. And the two most widely applauded options clearly already had their minds made up where they wanted to go since they didn't even bother with seeking an auction for their services... bee-line to NY... bee-line to CHI.

Some of us also have the humility to recognize we really can't even legitimately criticize the process since we really can't pretend we had any mics or cameras behind those closed doors that would allow us insight into what discussion took place when.

Football is a consumer entertainment choice. I will disengage if at some point I have no real reason to feel it's entertaining. I've done that in the past. I'm doing it right now, matter of fact, with my NBA team for the most part... and haven't even watched what once was called baseball, now better labeled Manfredball, for literally years since they drained the game of strategy and restructured the game around "what allows media to get home earlier." It's recreation, it's not religion.

Right now, I'm intrigued, and I'm giving this a chance.

I am as mad as you are but still a Cowboys fan and starved for Cowboy information. I wish I could turn off my fandom but I can't. Jerry and Stephen Jones have ruined our once proud franchise. That's a fact. I will never buy another jersey or another ticket. That's how I voice my displeasure

Indifferent is revolting. We might not even know we are doing it. I'm becoming more casual every single time Jerry opens his mouth.

Maybe because people like the new younger coaches and can see that we will be adding some good new players and they want to see what happens and get ready for next season instead of being obsessed with negativity.

CowboysZone ULTIMATE Fan
....what did you think was going to happen?
10,000 fans camped out at The Star, another 10,000 fans surrounding AT&T Stadium, chanting 'JERRY SUCKS!', and throwing... well... naughty things at buildings. All in front of local sports news cameras...

Afterwards, eagerly logging on and posting the same thread on CowboysZone, entitled, "SEE? SEE? I STARTED THAT!"

Nothing has changed in posts and threads on the forum for 20 years. The biggest finger pointers are always the ones who say something is wrong with everyone else but never do anything radical themselves.

To be honest, you kinda have to care to revolt.

I have had zero expectations for the Cowboys for a long time.

Nothing will change with Jerry as the GM. Why think otherwise. Having low expectations, leads to low disappointment.

As a fan there is nothing I can do. I can stop watching the games and not buy merchandise. That's it. I don't own the team or play for the Cowboys. I can only control my life and my circle. Sport's fans have to be the most parasocial people in all of fandom.

you or anyone here could start their own podcast or a non live show and blast the jones boys every day !
Anyone ready to do that ? People mock fish, but he does 2 shows a day 5 days a week, and that is work.

I been thinking about doing one, not live but try to do 5 shows a week.

Coming here and talking or complaining does little good, get on youtube and try and gain a following.
National audience just right there waiting for you.

At my age
I’ve learned to accept It’s a game
It sucks but I can’t stress over what I can’t control.

What I can control
Buying cowboys merchandise - haven’t done that in 7 years ++
Seeing a live game
Haven’t been to a live game at AT+T stadium in 7 years or anywhere for that matter -
Bottom line - my money won’t support them anytime soon
That’s all I can do
