Fans are hard to please

I've been on this site for quite a while, posted very few threads, but one thing I've noticed are some fans have a quick trigger to jump ship... things do not go right ALL the time.. we are 3 and 1. Thats what we are, we have stiffer competition coming, but just like you worry playing them, I invite you to read msg boards of opponents, they worry about the Cowboys, that should give you what you need, we are relevant,.. I posted that the defense may surprise you, they are not great, but offense is the off setting factor. Be happy, we are 3 and 1. We are relevant.

It isn't they are jumping ship, they have painted themselves into a corner with "Dak is worthless" "With Zeke this team is 4-12 again should have gotten Ramsey" "Garrett can't even breathe right" statements that they would actually rather have the Cowboys fail to solidify their "status" on an Internet message board than have the team on an upward path

its peoples opinion on things, think of this way, you say we are revelant, i say we got lucky with 2 bad teams. Both are facts, just the way we look at it. 20 plus years of accepting mediocrity will do that to a fan base. We are so hard up for talented players we are now boasting when we get any body in the draft. I think most fans are done with Garrett but understand only 1 person will fire him. So it frustrates all of us who werent high on Garrett anyway. If you are for him, you get to ride this wave and say "see Jerry kept him around for some reason".

Last year we somehow drafted 3 number 1's, yet none has really wowed or really stood up.

We are desperate and theres no reason for this. Drafting has gotten slightly better, but we are banking a lot for a 4th rounder to excel. We havent had a coach that has stood out and really wowed us. As long as the stadium sells, the Owner is happy. We just have to accept what is. 20 years of selling out for the next ticket seller.

This team is definitely on an upward path. Not sure how far we go this year but we are trending upwards. Man IF we can make the playoffs and have "Gregory" and D-Law balling look out.

Dak - rookie who has looked good so far

RB
EE - rookie looking good so far
Morris - baller on a very affordable 2 year contract
Dunbar - good 3rd down/change of pace RB
McFadden - sitting in the garage waiting to be driven

Dez - baller
Beas - baller
Butter/T-Will complimentary pieces
need another WR with speed that can catch

TE
Witten - vet/baller
Hanna/Escobar/Swaim - decent back ups
Gathers - going on record now, he will be a baller

O-Line
Ballers across the board and 4/5 still in mid 20s

D-Line
D-Law and Gregory (if he gets his act together) could be ballers
Collins - could be a baller in year 2
Tapper - injured but looked good in NCAA
Crawford - would be a baller at DT with better DE play
couple of rotational pieces

LB
Lee - if/when healthy baller
Smith - have to wait until healthy to see (was a baller in NCAA)
need to draft another one

CB
O-Scan good slot corner
Mo - ballin this year (knock on wood)
Brown - rookie who has held his own
Carr - under appreciated
may need to draft another one

Safety
Jones - 2nd year but playing ok
Wilcox - new coach may have turned his career around
need to draft one

Dude.. imagine this.. this is the state of the board when we are WINNING... IF and when we lose (Can I dream of 15-1?) ... stay CLEAR... I mean don't come around until about Friday when this place has settled down and discussions of the next opponent start. This place is somehow one of the best places and WORST for Cowboys fans at the same time.

Things are certainly moving forward and looking up in Dallas after many disappointing years. The club is 3-1 and could be 4-0...it has a raw College kid leading the way a top OL and a RB that will take the club somewhere in the Playoffs. Nothing to be too negative about.

I agree. Funny thing is a lot of people like to quote Bill Parcells saying you are what your record is, heck a lot of people said that last season as we went 4-12 yet many of the same will now say 3-1 but look who we played. Fact is this team is 3-1 and playing pretty good ball. No doubt always room for improvement but you are what your record says you are.

What is telling for me is that when these "waves" are on a up tick the negs aren't as active on the board. Is it because they
don't have anything to complain about so they have nothing to offer. Its such a drag having those kind of comments on
the board. No wonder there is so much divorce in America. Just wait till we lose a couple of games the trolls will be back
crapping up the place.

i like the heady feeling of pulling with the team not against it. Negative vibes right after a win in a game are the worst.

I agree with that but when everyone is agreeing and patting each other on the back it makes me uneasy. Competition is key.
