I just can't see the reason to keep this guy around any longer. Here are some reasons why.

1. always hurt and injured
2. where exactly does he fit?
3. coming off a major knee injury, still hasn't practiced
4. Lucky has won the KR and PR duties
5. 3rd down back?? can he pickup a blitzer?
6. He would be the 4th RB on the roster, plus a FB (too many)
7. In 4 years with this team has NEVER crossed the goal line. 0 TD's

4 years worth of stats
391 yards rushing........with 524 yards receiving

He was nearly our entire offense early last year until he got hurt. They finally figured out how to use him; then they put him out there to return kick-offs and low and behold he goes down for the year.

I like him over McFadden. And he contributes on just about all units on Special teams.

My issue with him, outside of playing like 4 games here, is his salary. He made more then Dmac last year and will make almost 2 mil this year.

You like him over the 4th leading rusher from last year?

I like him too but let's think about this..

I'm not sure what fans don't like about his actual play. He's an inside outside runner who's a matchup headache for defenses. In the passing game, he can run the whole route tree and beat just about any linebacker in coverage. He can run between the tackles if necessary. He blocks well for his size, though that's not what he's built for. He's dynamic on screens, and he gives you something in the return game.

The only knock on him is that he's been injured or playing behind better players for most of his career here. But last year showed you what he can do.

I'm not sure I keep him now that we've got Elliott, and because I do like Jackson, but I'd keep him over McFadden for sure if that's the question.

Romo is always hurt, should we cut him too????? Dunbar is a dynamic player when used correctly in this offense and can play special teams.... Out in space, he's hard to cover and he got blazing speed.....And who says they're keeping a fullback anyway, I'd rather keep four tightends(Witten, Escobar, Swain, Traylor) and four running backs(Zeke, Morris, Dunbar, Jackson)..

He was on a near 1000 yard pace as a receiver before his injury last year. He gives you some roster flex as a 6th WR, 4th RB type. He was the fastest guy on the team pre injury. I personally have no clue what they're doing at that spot but its nice to have options.

I agree with what you said about him, He's had some tough luck injury wise but I keep him, he's just too dynamic a player when used correctly in this offense and he can play special teams, I have the Cowboys keeping four backs, (Zeke, Morris,Dunbar and Jackson).....Mcfadden is either traded or released

My fascination comes from the talent. He reminds me of an offensive version of Tyrone Crawford.

Yes if romo was 4 years into the league and has handful of games under his belt with almost as many on the IR.

Doesn't make any sense, he always has been merely a projection not ever a reality. Nobody is going to claim Dunbar if he's cut. You can always sign this guy off the street down the road.

He's a scat back in the Sproles mold. There really don't seem to be many of them around anymore. Injury issue notwithstanding, I liked his wrinkle on the offense, but I think the fluidity included the chemistry with Romo. Not sure how he fits with Dak.

I liked most of what you said but you were heavy-handed with the Dunbar and Romo comparison. That's apples and space ships...

His only real drawback is his injury issue. The kid was a handful at UNT and in case y'all don't know, they're a Cowboys sponsor so that may answer part of the question.

When he's healthy and you watch him, you see what could be. That's what keeps them hooked. His potential is great, his durability is not.

If they could keep him healthy all year, know what they'd have for the first time in 44 years with Zeke and Alfred? The same kind of backfield as Csonka, Kiick and Morris. In a time where all the teams prepare for the passing game, they would be a nightmare for defenses.
