Dunbar is incredibly dynamic and does things the others don't. If you don't see it, you're just not watching.

Injury issues are his only drawback. He's a terrific player.

Let's not try and compare a 3rd string RB to a QB, especially since this RB has never ever scored a single TD. talk is we might keep 2 FB's although i doubt that too. Lucky's versatility should keep Dunbar off the roster. I too am in favor of keeping 4 TE's, which again brings me back to this roster spot...even more of a reason to part with Dunbar.

It's NOT a "3rd string RB", he's a scatback in a completely different role than actual straight up running backs. There is no "fascination", people understand what a scatback can bring to an offense. He was a big time weapon for us last year before injury. Yes, we all know he gets injured. You're not the only one who noticed this.

Maybe we should question your fanboyism before a player has ever taken a regular season snap. I'm more interested in that...

RunDMC up to his same ol' antics again. Can't wait for your 16 profile picture changes throughout the season to whomever is the hottest player at the time.

I agree, is there a limit to how players can be put on the pup list?

29 carries for 99 yards

CORRECTION ( i originally had him at 22 yards receiving)
18 receptions for 217 yards
He had that in 14 quarters last year though. He was a legit wrinkle in the offense even with Romo down for half his season. They are going to do some similar stuff with Zeke but Dunbar has proven ability in the passing game.

lets not get carried away with insults...just fyi....i had a Dak avatar since he was drafted, prior to that i had a Emmitt one (same one) for the last 12 years. i listed several reasons other than the injury excuse.....If Dunbar makes the team that would be a waste of a roster spot in my opinion.

Counter to your points

1. We know.
2. Exactly where he was before, a scatback/Running WR patterns. Drafting Zeke doesn't change this.
3. He has practiced, and again, we all know this
4. So what?
5. Depends on the situation, and you can gladly show me where he's gotten a QB in trouble in pass protection
6. The "third string" stuff is just nonsense. He would clearly have a different role than Morris and Zeke IF he is used like he was last year. Zeke won't be out there running WR routes
7. Flawed logic going strictly by raw stats. Who helped set up that game winning TD last year against the Giants?

When you say the only knock on him is injuries that's a big knock that's like saying the only knock on my house alarm is that it doesn't work sometimes THATS A PROBLEM

Yep. It's what might keep him off the roster.

I don't get the hate. The guy is good. He kills it in the screen game, and I remember against the Giants they used him as a WR. The only knock, besides health, is the fact that when he's out there, you are correct in guessing a screen 90%/of the time, and that's actually on the coaches.

I just can't see the reason to keep this guy around any longer. Here are some reasons why.

1. always hurt and injured
2. where exactly does he fit?
3. coming off a major knee injury, still hasn't practiced
4. Lucky has won the KR and PR duties
5. 3rd down back?? can he pickup a blitzer?
6. He would be the 4th RB on the roster, plus a FB (too many)
7. In 4 years with this team has NEVER crossed the goal line. 0 TD's

4 years worth of stats
391 yards rushing........with 524 yards receiving

Agreed with everything except for the pass blocking bit. Dunbar can pick up the blitz. His problem is he can't stay on the field and he and lucky on same roster is a luxury because both are very similar players. But Lucky is younger, healthier and faster.

Romo is always hurt, should we cut him too????? Dunbar is a dynamic player when used correctly in this offense and can play special teams.... Out in space, he's hard to cover and he got blazing speed.....And who says they're keeping a fullback anyway, I'd rather keep four tightends(Witten, Escobar, Swain, Traylor) and four running backs(Zeke, Morris, Dunbar, Jackson)..

You seriously comparing Romo's production and importance to team success to Dunbar's?? I understand you like him but let's not be ridiculous about it.

They...are nothing alike. Lucky will be lucky (No pun intended) to ever amount to anything as a receiver. He's someone who will have an occasional reverse. That's it. The only similarity he and Dunbar have is being returners.

So unless Lucky suddenly becomes a McCluster-like receiver, I'm not entirely sure what you're thinking.

McFadden is lame. He was lame last year and I will reiterate what I said on draft day after we took Zeke.

McFadden will not be on our final 53.

Good riddance.
Not only that the man Mcfadden was blocking....Davis....is the one that got Romo injuried against the Panthers

JG likes him lol thats about it.
Thats the key to many of these players just hanging around and not doing much.
Dunbar looked good briefly last year, but then some bozo put him on kick returns!!

Romo is always hurt, should we cut him too????? I'm comparing constant injuries, never said one word about production, .......now that was ridiculous on your part to come away with that thought!

Romo is an elite QB and Dunbar isn't close to being on that level not only that QB is most important position

Sound foolish saying Romo is always hurt and try to compare Dunbar and McFadden to an elite talent

I have a hard time keeping Dunbar with a crowded back field AND Whitehead and Beasly. There is a lot of overlap there IMHO and you are burning a lot of roster spots on a role player.

I think EE can do everything Dunbar can do including line up outside.

Jackson is a good route runner and can catch pretty well
