I hope I don't get hate for this, but I actually think Burger King's Impossible Whopper is pretty good. I only have it occasionally because I'm working on losing some weight, and that Impossible Whopper probably is only minutely more healthy than a real Whopper. But for folks looking for a meatless burger, BK has come up with a hit.

 

All those Impossible Burger patties are the same. The only difference is what's on them.

 

No, they're not good. They taste like leftover meatloaf that's starting to turn. They experimented with them at Hooters and the manager brought me a sample to see how I liked it. I took one bite and pushed the rest away. But the waitress who was sitting with me thought it tasted like beef. I guess it's like one of those "What do you hear?" things. Either it tastes really bad to you, or it tastes just like meat.

 

They're the bomb. I think what sets them apart is they are made by a burger joint with no apologies. They're not trying to disguise them as authentic Tex-Mex, the cheese is a slice from a cheeseburger. Lettuce and veggies not separated cold like a Tex-Mex restaurant or even a Taco Bell! LOL Cheap, great and unique tasting.

Although I agree with Tabascocat that most Texans eventually graduate to Taco Cabana for their 2AM Tex-Mex hangover needs. The best part of Texas is if you find a Mom & Pop breakfast taco joint. They're everywhere, especially as you get closer to the border. Nothing like soaking up a night on the town of booze with some greasy chorizo and egg, or potato and egg tacos.

 

i dont get anything else from there, but 2 or 3 pieces of long john silvers fish soaked in malt vinegar
