For once we are pretty deep with our safeties & hybrids but it has been looking likely to me for weeks that a very good "secondary" player (non CB) could fall to our pick. I mean if he's BPA, you gotta consider it.
Q has his school of back seven turning into exactly what he covets, he is a DL or 2 away from completing the deal IMHO.
When and if that happens, this Defense will be very difficult to deal with.
We got speed at depth positions that have established playing time already, and passing on a slipping quality DB is going to be hard to stomach, better be a comparable graded DT, don't want to see anymore reaching, we have done a pretty decent job trying to avoid those reaches lately.
Its going to get real interesting in a few more days.

Has Dallas shown any interest in Gibbs?
Who doesnt have interest in Gibbs..
BR gets the limelight, but I would b surprised if Gibbs drops out of the first round.
Gibbs may not be BR, but Gibbs has insane talent, he is like Tony Pollard on roids...

If we want to look deeper, lets talk about RJ, BRs backup.
There are RBs in this draft class.
I just don’t see it with Roschon but a lot of others do.

His vision looks poor and he looks like he’ll leave meat on the bone.

I got him as a 5th rounder but he may go round 2.

If he goes in round 2 than good luck to you, whoever drafted him there.

Over the last few years we seen how the team has finally taken S more seriously. Still no high draft picks. But addresses it in FA as well, hit on Wilson as a later round pick.

One of the S's they mention in the draft is Ronnie Hickman from Ohio State. I seen him play every game, and he would be a great value pick in the 4th or 5th round.
They are deep enough at S, they can wait until day 3 to select one. Especially with contracts expiring after this season of Kearse and Hooker.
The reportedly really like Israel Mukuamu, who is athletic, has great size and versatile enough to plat both safety and in a pinch CB.
He got extensive valuable playing time last year and i can see it flowing over to possibly present a challenge to Malik Hooker, who is decent but
not near as rangy as he was pre-injuries.

- Speaking of which, Hooker could not stay healthy to save his life in Indy, but has remain relatively available and healthy in Dallas.
High reward- Low risk.

- I was one that thought for sure Wilson was a goner in FA, but the team's effort to keep and re-sign shows just how much they really think of Donovan.
Maybe even more than Kearse who was thought of as a leader of the defense- but wasn't re-signed to the level Wilson was contractually.

- i also thought Marquise Bell was gonna be groomed to replace Wilson, but that's stop at the bridge.

i cannot recall Cowboys having this much safety quality as both starters and depth- since we had Woodson, Everett,, Washington and Brock Marion in the 90's
