I’m talking about RB2-RB4

Scrubs.

All of them.
Yes all those are scrubs. NO question. But to me its about the Oline. A great Oline and some of those guys will look good. But I also expect a great back to be taken in rounds 2-4.

On CBS site, rankings. I have not looked at other sites yet.
O'Cyrus Torrence is ranked 27th.
Would be a great selection.

Could they do a slight trade down and still be able to select him? Pick up and extra 2nd or 3rd. I need to look at my draft trade chart to see the value.
What would you do if Torrence and Robinson was both there at 27? It’s hypothetical I expect Robinson to go 15-20 if not sooner

I think as much as I like Robinson I may take Torrence and take my chances that I can get a quality rb later

Interesting; every draft guide website whatever has Bijay as clearly the best. Why do you think Gibbs is better?
Break away speed.. Gibbs is a weapon; He is a threat to score from anywhere on the field.. If Pollard isn't healthy or has lost some of his burst following his recent injury, then Gibbs would be the perfect complement to him.

If you look at our recent late first round draft picks, getting a player that is a safe pick and possible game changer for 5 or 6 seasons makes sense to me.

2013 Travis Frederick OC pick 31 played six seasons for the cowboys excluding a year off due to illness.
2015 Byron Jones CB pick 27 played five seasons for the cowboys
2017 Taco Charlton DE pick 28 Lasted two seasons
2018 Leighton Vander Esch pick 19 Just finished his fifth Season but missed significant time due to a neck injury.
2019 Amari Cooper Pick 27 traded to the Raiders played three and a half seasons for the Cowboys
Funny that one reason fans don't value an RB is because they might only be good for four or five seasons and not worth a second contract.

I believe taking a TE with one of the first two picks will be a huge mistake. Almost as bad as taking a RB not named Bijan

1000% disagree….someone like Robinson or even Gibbs is there…is like skipping out on someone like Pollard…who can just score TDs…Pollard changed the outcome of games on plays not expected to score. I get that there are good RBs in later rounds but with TP on a one year deal…and someone electric like BR or Gibbs sitting there…think you will regret taking an OL or DL there instead.
Don't forget Charbonnet. Stud.

Robinson will be off the board by the time Dallas picks in the first.
Gibbs will be off the board by the time Dallas picks in the second.

There is actually one mock draft floating around that has Gibbs to Dallas in the first, which is silly.

All this talk about Robinson is a waste... No way he goes to Dallas.
I've seen him go top 10 in some mocks. He will not last til 26, no chance in hades.

Great? There's only a couple of backs whose traits point to greatness. You'd have to go early to get them, round 2 at the latest.

Everyone takes RBs in rounds 3-7. Most are subpar.

Like him a lot too! Think he’s a solid second rounder. Workhorse and can do it all.
If he's there in the 2nd and we pass, we are stupid.

Charbonnet is being ignored by most fans because he lacks HR ability. Most fans are so completely in love w/ a RBs ability to take it to the house that they completely ignore everything else. What Charbonnet is, is most likely the best tough yds RB in this draft. I mean, he's a frickin' beast. Think Josh Jacobs.

Yep agree! Him and TP together would be fantastic.

An absolutely fantastic piece to pair w/ Polly.

Problem is, he'll most likely go in the mid/late first to one of the smart teams. Can you imagine the difference he'd make on the Chargers? KC would be brilliant to take him.

I dont mean great as in all time great. I just mean really good. This year is different. One of the best and deepest year for backs. 4 or 5 backs will go in the 4th round that will be really good.

I don't think so. I think most of the good ones will be gone by round 3.

This has been a common theme, as people see 4th rounders doing well. Thing is, for an accurate assessment, you'd have to look at the ones who didn't make it also, and mostly no one is doing that.

The huge majority of 4th round and later RBs aren't very good. That's where you get STers and guys who lack burst/speed/power/ or something else.

How many RBs can you name taken in the 4th or later how are good? Ekeler, there's one. Pacheco in the 7th. Most good RBs are taken in rounds 1 and 2.

Yah but buddy, this is a deep deep draft. Have you dont your homework on backs? I have done a lot of research this year. ON most years I would agree with you. Here is one guy that you can get in the 4th round. Love this guy. And there are others.

I have. And most RBs left after round 3 have huge holes in their game that will make them ordinary. Or a backup type.

Miller is interesting. Might be climbing the boards, though. If he's there in the 4th, and I don't believe he will be, he'd be a definite steal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How many running backs will have been taken by the time Dallas picks late in the fourth round?

My guess is 8 minimum- which means Miller is likely gone. He wouldn't be a bad pick there though!

Dallas sitting near the back of each round means they might have to grab a RB one round higher than they might like- depending on how urgent they think the need is.

How do you know what will be left after the 3rd round? You can see on a lot of these guys predicted rounds when they will be taken. Lots of good backs after the 3rd round and Miller is one of them.
