If it has to be a male, there has never been anyone better than Sir Lawrence Olivier. Cary Grant is my favorite though.

He portrayed a Vietnam vet, who was blinded in the war and was trained in the art of sword fighting. It doesn't have a lot of great acting in it, but it's a very good heartwarming film with some GOOD action. I would highly recommended if you've never seen it.
