If they were as "real" and as "street" as they claim, then they wouldn't be hanging out with *******s like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet, both of whom want to kill you and all your descendants, all the money they donate goes to curing the myth of "overpopulation" (which is a nice word for committing genocide)...

I have quite the history of discussing my distaste for most modern music, it's either bubble gum music that is just laughable and rap that is nonsensical, "yeah im a star, look at the paint on the car". That's wonderful. Deep meaning.


However I really enjoy Drake and Lupe Fiasco, both are exceptionally talented with music that has a deep meaning. Lupe Fiascos "Words I never Said" is excellent. Drakes "Take Care" song off his recent album was amazing.

Eminem... He's the best rapper alive today... There's just too many guys rapping about stuff that your average person cant relate to... Sure it can make them bob their head, but very few artists today can reach into your soul like Tupac could... Eminem's the best because he's lyrically superior to most other rappers, and because he's not just fronting behind a fake stereotyped persona... Eminem's songs can be quite violent, but this isn't "gangsta" violence, this is real world violence, brought about by complex emotions... That's deep, and that's real... Too many rappers love to rap about how many Bentleys they've got, or how much money they've got, I'm kinda poor, I cant relate to that, nor do I care...

Honorable mention to Immortal Technique... If you like rap, and have never heard Immortal Technique's - "Dance with the Devil", do yourself a favor and find somewhere to download/listen to it... Immortal Technique has some sick lyrics and his content is raw and from the heart... Definitely in my top 10 favorite rap songs ever....

Honorable mention to Mr. Pookie.... Maybe I'm a little bias because he's a Dallas based rapper, and I cant recommend his entire catalog of music, but his album entitled "The Rippla", definitely in my top 10 favorite full rap albums of all time.....

I think mr pookie has a song called " find yourself... by yourself" that I used to love. How can you be a fan of Texas rap and mention pookie but not z-ro ?

Modern day or not, I still got a thing Busta Rhymes. He may not be the hottest thing flowing right now, but his skillz on the mic will slay anyone.

Funniest thing happened a few months ago when they did a "Star Wars" on the radio and it was Busta's hits vs Fabolous hits. Fabolous didn't have a chance.

I like Kanye as an artist... He's not the greatest rapper, but generally I tend to like most things he produce.

I like the Roots and Common, LL. I respect LL alot. He and Queen Latifah are two rappers who successfully crossed over into a different genre.

I can listen to Drake and Lil Wayne, but I'm burnt out on them because of their overwhelming radio play.

Female rapper? I like Missy Elliott, Eve, MC Lyte.
