must have been awesome!

Yes it was even though our tickets put us in the middle of the steeler faithful. We lost the game but what a game

just the fact of being at a Superbowl would be worth it no matter where I sat.

Heck now days it is hard to get them as business tend to buy up all the tickets even before you know who will be in the super bowl and the prices are outrageous. Only way I’ll ever get to go again is if they are given to me

mel renfro defense

This is a very difficult question to answer. It's almost like asking which one of your kids do you love the most. There are so many memories and so much joy received from a long list of Cowboy greats. Roger Staubach quickly comes to mind, Drew Pearson, Emmit Smith, Randy White, Harvey Martin, Michael Irvin, Darren Woodson and Charles Haley to name a few.

No. 1 is Roger Staubach

Bob Lilly is second.

Honorable mention:
Drew Pearson
Tony Dorsett
Michael Downs
Dan Reeves
Tony Hill
and
Doug Dennison

Hard to say, but these are the guys I used to pretend to be out on the playground and in the backyard: Golden Richards, Roger Staubach, Walt Garrison, Charlie Waters.

What do you want from a white guy?

The list is long: Tony Dorsett, Danny White, Robert Newhouse, Too Tall Jones, Tony Hill, Butch Johnson, Drew Pearson, Ron Springs, Dennis Thurman, Rafael Septien(personal problems aside, he was automatic from 45 yds. on in), Jay Novacek, and now Emmitt.

He may not have been the best player in history, but my all-time favorite Cowboys player was Bill Bates . Never in NFL history has a player done so much with so little.

I even went as far as buying a video (SI I believe) called "Speed" because there was a segment on there about how he used a towing system to improve is speed. (It also had a segment about a minor league pitcher that threw in the 105 mph range for the Orioles in the '60s but couldn't hit the broad side of a barn).

My second favorite was Doug Cosbie.

Kinda reminds me of Mcnabb.

who are your favorite "old" (retired) Cowboys. For me,it's almost to hard to decide. But,if I had to pick,....Staubach for the offense, and Randy White for defense.:lombardi:
Staubach for the entire team all time either side of the ball...Drew Pearson and Tony Dorsett get honorable mention and Cliff Harris getting Defensive player top honors. Sorry but I'm an Old School Cowboys fan and the tripplets just can't replace those guys in my heart (but I still love them).

Offence....easy one ~ The Playmaker
Defense....much harder ~ just Charles Haley
