Emmitt Smith, and Darren Woodson (maybe Charles Haley). Mainly because these guys were playing in my time, so to speak. I know that Staubach, and Randy White, and those guys were awesome, but I never saw them play until I started getting hooked on "NFL Films Presents....." lol

Marshall Irvin. That's what the commissioner called him when he was drafted.

My all time favorite Cowboy is Emmitt. I also loved to watch Bill Bates and Kelvin Martin. My pre-90's favorite retired player would have to be Dorsett and on defense it will always be Woodson.

Well, I'm sure you meant player. But for me, when I think of sitting in front of the TV in the late 60's, I remember the man in the hat.

Landry.

If I had to pick a player, Staubach. Real winner. Real class.

Roger Staubach, hands down for all-time and offense

mid 70's/80's
Too Tall, Manster, Staubach, DD lewis, Lee Roy Jordan, Everson, Pearson, Downs, Waters, Martin, Wright, Herb Scott, newhouse, renfro, Harris, Billy Joe

90's-Haley, Woody, Maryland, Norton, Lett, E. Williams, Novacek, Troy/Emmitt/Irvin, Stepnoski, Allen, gee the whole O-line. I loved the way E. Williams used to smash Reggie White and he would always be there to pick Emmit up off the ground...
