Who were some of the players from the glory years of the 70’s and 90’s that you loved to rag on? I’m talking about players that were the equivalent of a Jeff Heath or Nick Hayden type player back then, those who didn’t deserve to see the field. Even though those were our glory years, I’m sure there were players that you just loathed.
People whined about Deion not going all-in on tackles...

I'm older than most anyone here, but Ralph Neely was perpetually holding. Pick any Dallas running back not named Hill, Thomas, Dorsett, or Preston Pearson. They all had trouble. Both Golden Richards & Butch Johnson never came close to their potential.

More recently, I Danny White came in for a lot of well-deserved criticism. Just didn't have the arm. Billyl Joe DuPree was a good receiver but fumbled a lot. Poor Jackie Smith---wide open TD in the endzone for a drop. Did it cost us the game/ Probably not.

Any QB between White and Aikman, then between Aikman & Romo.

Erik Williams.. He was dam good, but there were plenty of inopportune moments when he'd draw a flag.

Can’t remember any whipping boys during the glory years. The Cowboys were too busy winning championships for fans to be frustrated. Fans only take it out on players when you’re not winning. The only player that’s really gotten a lot of hate over the decades is Jackie Smith because of one game.

Nah both were like Lewis and Brown, memory escapes most people as they were solid but inconsistent and not always great, reminds me Anthony brown and Lewis..seriously
Kevin Smith was a shut down corner until he snapped his Achilles… after that injury he never got back to what he was like before it, though in fairness, 30 years ago it was a career ending injury most of the time.
