Thought those movies were terrible.. but to each his own

For me, they definitely hit that "you made too many of these". Seldom is anything made to capitalize on the popularity of the original that works really well. And at most, they can only do one decent sequel. Godfather, Alien, Die Hard are examples of that. The Alien franchise was the most disappointing to me.

Disney was a sick and twisted man. Old Yeller did not have to die. He just wanted to make kids cry. He was evil.

And what the hell? Bambi's Mom? His restless and tormented soul haunted the studios and then got Simba's Dad as well.

Like Fantasia because when my wife would ask me to get some culture, I would put that on to impress her. Never worked, dancing brooms is not what she had in mind.

I do agree about Bambi's Mom. That part sucked. Though, as far as Old Yeller, that was actually in the book, so it's legit as far as I'm concerned.

In retort, I offer up the true story of Open Water where they did not die in the end. Sorry if that was a spoiler for someone but they died in the end. Unless they could live inside of sharks.

Must think about this first--mainly determining which Disney movies fit my definition of classic. Disney has a huge pool of films to pull from, that's for sure.

Haven't really seen many of the animated films, though I think I saw Dumbo when I was a kid, and Pinocchio, which was pretty dark and disturbing for children.

Yes, very disturbing for me. My first time at the ripe old age of 16, Mary Ellen Sternberger kept yelling at me in the backseat "LIE! LIE!! LIE!!! LIE MORE DAMNIT!!!!!".

That they do. That Walt Disney chap really had a brilliant set of films. Brilliant the way he had those films made. Even after he passed, Disney still made terrific, but underrated films. Fox and the Hound is one film that I think is criminally underrated. IMO, one of the greatest films of all time, but people rarely speak of it.

I happen to be referring to the cartoon version, dear boy. Also, let's not forget that Robin Hood is a Nottingham chap, which is in England. I actually have a lot of family along the South Coast of England, so there's that slight difference. Still, I'm portraying the Robin Fox Hood, as if that should shock anyone.

Almost all of the classic cartoons by Disney.
Most of the current ones as well.
John Carter is very under rated although it's not a classic

Runny, you should see Up if you get the urge to watch an animated movie. I think you'd enjoy it. It has the usual amount of silliness, but it has a good heart.
