I hadn't read that they had given him permission. Have they?

No but I have been avoiding all Farve stories as much as possible. :laugh2:

I dunno, I still think the Pack may try to trade him.

Even if they promised to reinstate him as the starter, he'd still demand to be released. Something's bad in the water up there, but I don't know what it is.

lol

Its a shame for Randolph.... those players quit on him.
He led them to one game from the WS
He had them ready for the playoffs until the last game of the year last year.

Manuel is nuts... they fear him. Thats good. The NL is so bad they could make it.

My Yankees are going through some major changes... tough year. All in all I expected around .500 so not too bad.

Here is what would be VERY interesting....

Favre has threatened to return to the Pack as the back up:

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3490792

so lets assume he does this and starts the season as the back up....can you imagine the Favre history packer fans would be going through the instant Rodgers shows any signs of cracking?!!

If Favre wants to play for the packers this is his best bet...go in as back up, wait till the first Rodger's interception and then just let the fans go crazy!

with Rodgers injury History, Brett won't have to do anything. If he waits until the 1st preseason game, Rodgers will be probably be on IR and everything will be fine.

Yea, and If I ever post that Favre is a worn out ol fool that could not hold Quincy Carters jock they may make me the only non Cowboy fan moderator around here. :) But then again maybe not, I would be accused of plagerizing your posts...:)

Absolutely not. If you said that about Favre and Quincy you would be nuts. I could not agree with such lunacy.

on a Brett sidenote:
I always wondered why they were trying to rush his retiring of his number... what was it scheduled for? the first game of the year?

retirement ceremony scheduled for 1st Monday night game against Vikings. I would say there is a good chance that aint happening even if he stays retired. FAvre may wait until Ted Thompson is not GM of the Packers which will be a lonnnnnggggg time.

I don't think there was any conspiracy to doing it early. They gave Brett the choice of dates and Brett picked teh first game. I doubt anybody wanted to wait until November when it is 25 degrees outside.

Sure. The Diva probably planned on starting the season while retiring his number at the same time.;)

In the process, one-upping Michael Jordan. lol

Slick.

getting ready for the 2nd interview at 10: on Fox. I think he blast TT for not getting Moss, Not resigning Wahle and Riverar(I bet you guys wish that too) and trying to get TT to interview Mooch for head coach. Kind of throw MM under the bus on that as well as TT. Come on Brett, TTs decisions got the team to the NFCCG, he can't be all bad.

I think Farve should stick it to the Packers when he released.. By signing with the Boys to back up Romo.. Romo would have his hero with him.. Jerry would corner the market on media attention and if Romo goes down, noodle armed Johnson would be far away...

Maybe the Packers should take a page from Tom Landry's playbook and alternate Rodgers and Farve on every play :laugh2:

I don't know about the rest in here, but I am all for the Packers having to deal with this Favre circus all year long. The more it becomes a distraction for them, the better I like it. I hope it ruins their whole season.

Rotation by down...
1st - Rodgers
2nd - Brohm
3rd - Favre

Matt Flynn to practice squad.

I bet Favre is traded, but I like your idea of a rotation...
