I say invite Jared Allen in EVERY time and screen him to death.

He has to change it up regularly, but if he can move a TE in motion to help block Allen, a RB to help double him, both on chip block moves to release patterns outside of Allen they can really negate much of Allen's game.

Every so often they can run the release pattern off a chip block and hopefully pull down the LB or safety and then go over the top with a receiver.

There's a lot of opportunity for the Cowboys here and they have to be aggressive and dictate it.

Allen is not the type of pass rusher that Ware and Spencer are. He cannot cover and is not effective in zone coverage schemes.

True then again Allen is not an OLB he is a DE who is not asked to drop back into coverage like Ware and Spencer. Allen is a very good pass rusher and it will be important that Flo control him, if Flo does have some problems then Dallas will have to use a TE and backs to chip him

At this point in the season I think any "guarantees" are completely meaningless. None of these teams is short on motivation at this point. So any implication by Favre or anyone else is immaterial IMO.

I will say that I disregard the opinion of anyone who has "no doubts" about this game. The NFL is simply not that predictable, and its proven over and over again.

I don't know the line but I suspect the Vikes should and will be favored by at least 3 points given their HFA.

I like that we're on a roll. I like all the character indications of this team. I like how we seem to get better each week now. That absolutely gives me hope and a certain confidence.

But those being dismissive of the Vikes are being foolish IMO. They are a very good football team as are the Saints. They may have struggled down the stretch but their overall success was neither lucky nor accident. They both deserve high respect.

I like how we're going but don't at all buy that we should be anything better than co-favorites with Minny and NO.
