I've stated my opinion about Brett Favrevereoreververrevee many times on this board. You all know that anything good said about him, I'll find a way to pick holes in it. I'm not going to reiterate all those thoughts here.
What I WILL SAY with regard to this latest Favreveforvfereveeerrve deveopment is: What the the Vikings have to lose? Really? This is a no-brainer for Minnesota.
Bring him in, stuff him into a purple suit, shove him out there and see what happens. Can't be any worse than what they've put under center of late. If he really has hit "has-been" status (as I think most would think), then you yank him and put Jackson or whoever back were they were last year.
All the Vikings have to lose, worst case scenerio, is Favre's contract money he signed for which is probably not a big cap hit............
