This thing has gone from interesting, to expected, to annoying, to pathetic, to "i hope this guy has both of his arms ripped off so he can't make any more comebacks".

Talk about tarnishing your legacy.

Who didn't expect this? When he said "if someone calls November 1st" I knew he was coming back. Only thing I am looking forward to is the Minnesota@Green Bay game

Yeah, he's already tarnished it in my eyes.

I watched Michael Strahan strolling the Giants sidelines last night, then making a grand exit during a delay in the game (when the refs were reviewing a call), so he could have full attention, waving to the crowd, etc.

When I saw that, I thought it was pathetic in a way, but it also reminded me of Favre.

The mantra for so long is, "Boy, ol' Brett sure loves football ... "

No, Brett, like Michael Strahan, loves the attention. Brett has to be the center of it.

I'll probably be the only happy fan in the forum. Love this, even though it makes them a tough team to beat.

I know everyone gets tired of hearing about "the Favre story", but I don't think we should hate on him too much. He has everybody telling him he should just quit the game he loves, but wants to keep trying to play it.

Honestly, if any one of us had the chance to play quarterback in the NFL and GET PAID FOR IT, do you think we would ever want to give that up. I would think that most would try to hold on to that as long as we could. So, no one should blame Favre for wanting to hold on to it either.

I like Favre

And I think if the man wants to continue playing ..... he should.

But this constant pretend retiring just makes him look silly IMNHO.

Laugh all you want but he is better than any QB they were going to put on the field.

They went to the playoffs with a JV QB last year. He'll be in a comfortable dome for 8 games, handing to the best RB in football, and he'll get to see his old mates twice a year. Makes perfect sense to me.
