Didn't we win our last 2 games at that VERY windy Meadowlands? Frankly, a VERY tough place to play?

Again-No Tommie Harris, Darwin Walker, and one of their DEs = NO pass rush. No Lance Briggs, No Nathan Vasher, and Urlacher played with an arthritic back all season, which further crippled this crippled defense.

Again-why are you making excuses for the Packers?

Windy? Thats not even the half of it. You just dont get it. I am not making excuses for them, I lived through the weather that day. It was as bad as I have ever experienced. I have lived in cold winter climates for the past 15 years of my life.

As for this thread, Farve was stating that the windy conditions make it harder to play in than dealing with snow.

Some people apparently call it being a drama queen. The other 99% of the world calls it stating the obvious/making a factual statement.

OK-then why wasn't Romo entitled to his bum thumb excuse against the Eagles the week before?

Here are the FACTS-yeah, he was off pretty much the whole game, but RIGHT BEFORE he got injured, he was STARTING TO GET HOT. He completed like 2-3 straight passes before it got hurt.

Again-why wasn't Romo entitled to this thumb excuse, but Favre was entitled to that stupid weather excuse??

OK-here's another FACT-Favre has OWNED Soldier Field since '94. Prior to that game, he only lost their ONCE. Remember he also won there in wk17 of the '06 season, and yes, the Bears were playing all their starters that game.

No one is talking about Romo's thumb.

OK-I got your point about the Dec weather in Chicago.

My point was that Favre has lost in Soldier Field ONLY twice since '94. Of course, he's played there at least a half dozen times in Dec since that time, and for the most part, aside from last month, he was FINE.

That was the point-Favre and the Packers are entitled to that "bad weather in Chicago" excuse for losing, but when we lost to the Eagles, all we heard was "Romo let Jessica distract him" all week long.

Has he played there before in 50 mile per hour winds in below freezing temperatures? I hate Farve more than you do, but you have no point.

And of those other times when he faced Chicago, how many of those do you supposed were in games with 35-40 mph winds?

This thread is about Favre. So, when you started to lose you argument, you brought up Romo, which has nothing to do with the actual discussion.

Congrats.

I believe the Dec '04 game(Lovie's first year)-remember seeing highlights of the game-it was a meaningless game as they clinched the #3 seed, but even their backups were rolling up the points.

Well...yes it had something to do with this thread...was surprised some of the posters here were saying how Favre was entitled to this "bad weather" excuse. Was just saying Romo had a ligit excuse over the Eagles game too.

Noone can have it both ways.

30 mph winds in Chicago made the conditions unplayable. The wind had no affect today. 5 mph winds do not affect a passing game. 30 mph winds do.

Snow-no problem
Rain-no problem
Cold-no problem
Wind-big problem

Great point because snow certainly has no effect on visibility, traction and the grip of the ball. It's just pretty white puffs in the air.

I don;t really care what you think about FAvre, he is to Packer fans what Emmit, Troy, Staubach and a few others have been Cowboy fans.

You are arguing on this thread and argue ad nauseum on every Favre related thread because you don't care what we think of Favre.

Ummmmmmmm........no. B/c I saw the highlights of the game, and Boomer and the ESPN crew talked about it.

I don't have a photographic memory, but I watch ESPN alot that these things tend to stick in my head.

Again-why are you letting Favre make excuses?

Ahh, you saw the highlights, let me defer to your mighty memory of watching Boomer talk about a football game.

I believe Boomer then referred to the very windy conditions in that game, yes.

But whatever-the Packers stunk it up in that game, but they're entitled to excuses. Romo, prior to injuring his thumb, was getting hot, but our fan base and the entire team got an earful the entire week leading up to Carolina.

It just shows our fans have enough courage to admit problems facing their own team while Green Bay fans are the biggest homers you will encounter

I guess it didn't. FAvre nor Hassellbeck had problems throwing the ball. Like I said, Snow----No problem
