I guess it didn't. FAvre nor Hassellbeck had problems throwing the ball. Like I said, Snow----No problem

Tell that to Marcus Pollard who missed that easy catch in the endzone because he couldn't SEE the ball.

I believe Boomer then referred to the very windy conditions in that game, yes.

But whatever-the Packers stunk it up in that game, but they're entitled to excuses. Romo, prior to injuring his thumb, was getting hot, but our fan base and the entire team got an earful the entire week leading up to Carolina.

So you mean that game with barely a hint of any bad weather? You cant even see Farves breath when he goes under center. Try again photographic memory.

You are arguing on this thread and argue ad nauseum on every Favre related thread because you don't care what we think of Favre.

you still upset that the Packers didn't bench Favre after he "faked" his injry in the Cowboy game. And how about that QB controversey you predicted. LMAO-you hit your head again?????

catch up James. This thread is about THROWING the ball and the conditions that affect it. It is about FAvre and the weather. If you want to start a thread about catching the ball in bad weathen then be my guest.

The thread doesn't specifically allude to throwing the ball. The thread simply said Favre complained about the weather

Uh, the post you made, where you quoted FloridaRob and replied with the Pollard thing...

SPECIFICALLY stated that Brett and Matt had no problems throwing the ball.

The word "throwing" is in that quote.

Guess he shoulda bolded it or something.

and if you knew what you were talking about in regard to FAvre, you would know he was talking about the wind that day. It makes a difference James, Do you agree or disagree?

Maybe I should bold it because the thread doesn't say "Favre complained about throwing in the weather." FloridaRob is putting his own spin on it. The reality is that snow affects more than just throwing the ball.

Favre just had a bad game. He threw 2 interceptions that day. Does the wind force you to throw interceptions? Are you really arguing that snow and rain have no effect on the passing game? I agree that wind influences the passing game more than snow. But the fact that he complained about the conditions being unplayable when the Packers lost by 28 points is ridiculous. Yeah, the conditions were unplayable when he lost.

FYI-the field conditions in Carolina were AUTROCIOUS when we played them. I mean AWEFUL-otherwise, Owens wouldn't have gotten injured(Ditto Newman and Ratliffe), and we would have won by 20+.

Ultimately, we DID win that game.:starspin

I really don't know why I argue with you. I would be better served talking to a stump. No James, the wind does not force you to throw interceptions. I would think that it probably affects your accuracy tho. And it you are trying to win a game, I would think your accuracy being affected may impact what does happen on the other end. You disagree I am sure because it is FAvre. And I am sure in your mind he was faking something or worrying about being benched for Aaron Rogers. And I don;t know if your last statement "yea, the conditions were unplayable when he lost" are sarcastic or truthfull. Understanding your agenda, I am pretty sure it was sarcastic

If the wind was so awful then why didn't a far worse QB in Orton throw any interceptions? Just admit that Favre had a bad game; the wind didn't cause him to throw those picks. You still have to make decisions aka READ THE DEFENSE. And I'm still waiting on your explanation regarding how rain and snow does not affect the passing game.

What is so hard about understanding that strong winds make it almost impossible to throw the ball. I've played football in windy conditions and its very hard to throw the ball.

We didn't have much trouble with snow or rain except for trying to keep traction.

So I wonder why it is so hard for people to understand that strong winds had affected Brett's performance in the Chicago game.

Or how about our game at Carolina where the field conditions were AUTROCIOUS? Our players were slipping and sliding at times, TO's injury WOULDN'T have happened if the conditions were halfway-decent(ditto Newman and Ratliffe), and we would have ultimately won by 20+.

Bottom line-we DID win the game. Say all you want about how Favre couldn't throw the ball in 50 mph winds(which I won't argue with), but Chicago was playing without 1/2 of their D and a noodle-armed QB to boot. The Packers had absolutely no excuse to lose this game.

Are you a Packers fan?

Sorry-didn't recognize at first. Anyhow-welcome to the board. At first, I thought you were one of those "Nervous Cowboys fans" that post all these "THE SKY IS FALLING" threads every week.

30 mph winds in Chicago made the conditions unplayable. The wind had no affect today. 5 mph winds do not affect a passing game. 30 mph winds do.

I once dated a Packers fan awhile back, FWIW. Of course, she hated Dallas(even a bit more so than Chicago), but she was kind, respectful, and hardly mean-spirited like Eagles fans are.

Anyhow-as classy the Dallas fan base is, we're also pretty spoiled and paranoid. WAY back in preseason when we lost to Houston, and it was a PRESEASON game, the board went into a MAJOR meltdown, to the point where we enticed the Skins' trolls to pour it on us.

Well I would agree, at least the last 18 yrs. Hopefully the 10th time will be a charm. Can they fix that crown on the field before next week??? :)
