I was a fan as a draft target until I saw the OU game. He didn't have to deal with a lot of pressure his entire career because he always had the top OL in the country and a great running game. In the OU game he had to deal with a lot of pressure and a mix of coverages and he looked like a deer in headlights.
I think he may be an okay backup somewhere but I don't think he's a franchise guy. I think that is why a lot of folks peg him as a mid-round pick.
Of course...Aaron Rodgers looked like garbage in his last bowl game too and he turned out aight.
Rodgers ran a 4.6 40 and could throw the ball through brick wall.
Seeing a guy play well is important but if they lack measurables it is a real gamble.
McCarron appears to well below NFL standards in arm strength, quickness and foot speed.
Love his character but IMHO he is a clipboard holder then future head coach.
