that gives a TOTAL of 83 million who have tried it at least once over the age of 12. 36% of the population. Much higher then I beleived but STILL not MOST of the US Population. Certainly much LOWER then some here have claimed.

36% is a huge percentage though if you think about it, I've nary seen percentages in a study which involves millions of subjects, that is higher than 40-45%

WG left herself an out. She said "large numbers," which could be defined in any number of ways. Hell a third of the population over 12, which you provided. And it's probably even higher when you narrow the age range to the ages of NFL players. Check males age 20-40. I betcha that number is even higher.

No one ever said "most of the US population," it was just a large number of NFL players, which, if I read WG correctly, is what she was referring to.

it would be hard to guess at the percentage of Pot smokers but just going by the arrest list it is well over 10%

That's ridiculous.

Legalize the stuff already.

Let farmers grow it and the Government tax it and we can all be happy.

Way too much time and resources are wasted on trying to stop people from smoking pot and it's just never going to happen.
