In complete seriousness, I would rather The Cowboys have drafted Felix and what he gave us under his rookie contract as opposed to Chris Johnson and signing CJ0K to the vacation-contract he is currently enjoying.

Not me. I would rather we had drafted Mendenhall or Jackson or, moved up in the draft and picked up a player like Albert.

That year, I loved Forte and Rice and Charles later. All three of those guys, i thought were better values then the 1st round guys.

No, he never showed he could pull the load. I mean, I think the team did make a colossal mistake by drafting him in the 1st round put to say that they mismanaged him is crazy. You have to prove you deserve playing time and earn it. It's that way from the time you 1st play organized football and he didn't do that. He had plenty of chances and he didn't capitalize on them.

If you want to say that the team doesn't run the ball enough, OK. If you want to say that they never should have drafted a situational player in the 1st OK. If you want to say that the team never gave him a chance, that's where we part ways. That, IMO, is very far from the truth and I don't agree. The fact that they drafted him at all is proof that they did give him a chance.

I don't understand your reasoning. First, if we weren't going to use him as a feature back, then we both agree, it was a mistake to draft him in the first place where we did. Like you already said, you don't draft guys who you expect to be part time players in the first round. No doubt.

Now, how you feel that he never showed he could pull the load is beyond me. Especially seeing how its been proven already in this very thread that not only did he have sick ypc averages his first two years, but over the course of his entire career with us, he showed that his production didn't teeter off with more carries.. it got better.

You act as if the staff we have in place now hasn't or couldn't possibly ever make a mistake in how the use a player.. it happens all the time.
