How could a guy not want to play and want to play longer? Something doesn't add up.

I think he wants to play, but he wants it to be worth his while. Not saying I agree with his position entirely, but my interpretation is that if he's going to come back, he's going to commit for two years or not at all.

And I believe that he will want preferential veteran treatment allowing him to skip about everything outside regular season obligations.

And if that doesn't work for the Cowboys, a deal won't happen.

lol @ this clown. Some posters here still think he was great too. Such a freaking waste of a 1st round.

I'm kind of surprised that PIT would trade for Jones. I guess the fact that he's been in a camp and in shape makes a difference. Figure they'd have looked at a Willis McGahee, Cedric Benson, Beanie Wells, Brandon Jacobs.

Felix was a JJ Pick from day one, and everyone knew it. I remember Jones saying we had him rated over Chris Johnson, Jamaal Charles, Ray Rice, Matt Forte, Rashard Mendenhall, Jonathan Stewart, and Darren McFadden, Basically he was supposed to be better than every RB in the draft, but nobody knew it but us. We could have drafted almost all of them. Yep, that was also the year we drafted Jenkins over guys like Duane Brown, Thomas Decoud, Josh Sitton, Carl Nicks, all guys who have played in the pro bowl.

Most had Johnson as a 2nd round guy some people in the late second round. The same goes for Charles and Rice. I think there's some serious Monday morning quarterbacking going on here. To give you some perspective of where guys were ranked:

You had might as well complain about taking Dwayne Goodrich over Tom Brady in 2000. The only guy who was even close to the same draft slot of the guys you listed is Duane Brown. You have to judge picks by the information you had at the time and not the results.

Also I remember Jerry saying that Mendenhall was slightly higher rated then Jones (Like one point of difference), but they felt the Jones was a better fit because he was used to sharing the load at Arkansas with Darren McFadden. A couple people in this thread have said that Wade wanted Chris Johnson. Not saying I don't believe you but is that sourced anywhere? I hadn't heard it before curious where that is coming from.
