Felix is looking for the homerun because he isnt getting touches.
If you can watch the video of the play, you'll see that Witten wasn't close to getting thrown inside by Ryans. In fact, you can see Witten still very much upright in the next picture. He was pushed back about a foot though, and that's what brought Felix down. When he cut back and tried to go inside of the block, he tripped over the back of Witten's leg. Ryans was so focused on the collision with Witten, there is no way he makes the tackle if Felix just continues on his original path.Chocolate Lab;3598823 said:Basically, Witten is getting his butt kicked -- look how tilted his upper body is. Looks to me like he went the right way, and if Kosier had made his block there would've been good yardage to the left. Or maybe not since lead blocker Witten got so blown up on the play.

he is a very tentative runner unless he is open space. no way he can ever be a feature back if he can't run between the tackles.
