This is just crazy; things really are starting to fall into place. I just hope they are falling into place for us and not Philly/GB. I do know that I'm pretty jacked for the game on Sunday now.

If the Giants don't come out and play hard then they are a bunch of gutless *****s.

The Giants Organization needs to find out who has heart and I have a lot of doubts about Coughlin just letting his team lay down. I don't think he would do it.

Giants playing @ noon is perfect but I just wish we had the night game.

NBC dropped the ball BIGTIME.

It wasn't NBC's call... it was the NFL's. But yes, the ball was dropped... it's just that it was dropped by the NFL.

Giants will show up because Coughlin just questioned their heart.

Green Bay is hot right now. That game depends on which Arizona team shows up.

We have to smash the Eagles right in the beaks.

MIN is a different team at home. Not sure the Giants can beat them. That said, isn't there a code of honor inside divisions where, once you're eliminated, you root for the teams in your division (not named the Commanders)? That's how I always looked at it when I was playing, but that might not fly on the professional level.

I do recall that you scoffed at such discussions even yesterday. This is a weird season, with the 2 NFC darlings most of the year slipping as of late.

Mark my words. Either Philly or Dallas will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
I sure did. It was highly unlikely. It still is, but the fog is clearer.

No doubt. The one counter I would provide -- only to suggest that if we had to Minnesota in the playoffs that we're not necessarily heading into a buzz saw at home -- is that their last few home games have been against: Detroit, Seattle, Chicago and Cincinnati. Granted, they blew each and every one of those teams out.

It is still very foggy.

It would be something else if the Giants win. Consider this. They swept us, proceeded to pull up lame on Sunday and all but cement our spot in the playoffs, and now they would be helping us secure the 2nd seed. Amazing!

I, for one, think the Giants will come out flat and get beaten handily.

I don't know. After the heat they'll take this week from the performance they had last week, I'd actually be surprised to see them lay an egg again. Now, their best performance might not be enough, but I would be shocked to see them willingly fold.

There are guys -- a lot, probably -- playing for their jobs in that game.

That, and the Giants are a better team than the Bears.

I just don't see the Vikings losing at home to the Giants.

Did you see the Vikings just lose to the Bears? I don't care where the game is played. They don't look good right now.

If the Giants win in the early game, I think GB will definitely have something to play for. If they win, they go to ARI the next week. If they lose, they go to DAL or MIN. If I were the Packers, I think I'd rather take my chances with the Cardinals.

That still requires the Giants winning the early game, which seems awfully unlikely.

I could see the Giants winning but not GB, they have nothing to play for and probably would sit their starters by the second half if not for the entire game, if the Giants do in fact beat the Vikings then AZ would be playing for the second seed (hoping Dallas beats the eagles), so basically IMO no way they lose against GB, but hey that´s why they play the game right.

Yeah, but did you see them losing on the road to CHI? If the Giants play, they're better than the Bears any day of the week.

Gotta point there but I still don´t think they would go all out.

And not just that, but Minnesota is now a team in full-on scramble mode. Maybe they rally together and win, but they're going to face a lot of scrutiny this week and have suddenly lost 3 of their last 4. Yeah, they're better at home, but who knows if that's enough?

If the Giants show up they will beat Minnesota. They kicked our *** just a few weeks ago.

And they absolutely demolished the Redsk*ns last weekend... not that that's that big of an accomplishment. :D

Would the Giants really help us though? I think they'll lie down for the Vikings. Because the Giants winning would make our journey to the Superbowl that much easier.

I have a tough time believing that players really think this way... I think this is more "fan thinking".

I'd be shocked if a team just "laid down" to spite a rival.

These guys are playing for their jobs and their reputation and for a lot of money.

Okay, maybe not lay down for the Vikes but definitely won't play with a high intensity.
