LOL. The houston fans think they "stole" Schultz from us. They are giddy! On the Houston radio he's a pretty big talking point on why the //Texans will be better than last year.

I like all three or four of our guys. I'm just wondering if this John Stephens cat will make the roster. He looked impressive, is physical, and adds another weapon for Dak, in certain situations.

Very creative, thoughtful pick right there. I wasn't expecting much from him. Then again, there' only so much time in the offseason for us arm-chair scouts. I didn't know who he was. Therefore, never did any homework on the guy.

In my view, he's looking like someone who can potentially replace McKeon, who I think you can stash on the PS.

Schultz may be putting in some work. It's not like he was a bad player. He's good. But we've got guys who are good.

I think Hendershot is so severely overrated. He’s a nice find as a UDFA but I don’t see him as a future starter.
You'll see.

He's as good as Ferguson. Right on that level. He produced similarly in college but with a terrible quarterback. You haven't seen enough of Hendershot yet. That's all. But he's a baller.

Tyier Steen 6’6 320 range Bama taken by the Eagles after Schoonmaker . Be interesting to see his rookie year at OT unfold . Ball and Waletzco continue to underwhelm . If anything Steen would have been insurance at tackle.

Wait, did any of you actually think we were going to miss DALTON SCHULTZ!?
:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:
I thought we might not because he is special but because Dak had chemistry with him. I think ferg is more talented all around.
But it is funny to hear the Texans thought they stole Schultz from us.

Schultz took a pay cut to go to Houston . Good luck with a rookie QB should be a 5-12 season.

Pay cut but from the tag not because he was worth a contract like that.
I’m interested to see how Stroud turns out. Both he and Bryce had awful starts.

Ferguson is a solid player and shows promise but to me it just says more about the talent around him and what we need from the position ; someone who can deliver when called upon not someone we need to be a superstar. It’s why Schultz was always easily replaceable Imo

Couldn't believe we franchised him, and was happy to see Houston take him off our hands.

A long-term deal for Schultz is something stupid teams would do.

He is better right now, than Schultz is. Schoon has a ways 2 go but can be a very physical H back. hybrid. Watch this Stephens kid. He might push Mckean off the roster. Reminds me of Antonio Gates from the chargers in the day.

I never saw a fan base more triggered and butthurt over other fan bases.

You do you tho Cowboys fans.
I live in houston and have to listen to houston radio everyday. No one is triggered. But you being a high post count noob on another team's fan board is weird. Just weird.

So no it’s not really meaningful tbh. It doesn’t hurt but it really means zero. Ferguson was invited to tight end university and that’s a positive for him to learn from those types of players but being endorsed by someone in the league on the whole historically doesn’t really mean much.

I think Ferguson is a good pLayer. Will have a nice career.

Guys like Dak Prescott, Jake Ferguson, and DaRon Bland are perfect examples of why a team should never draft for a specific need.

The Cowboys tried to move up to draft Paxton Lynch in the 2016 draft and later drafted Dak in the 4th round. They were so disappointed when the two CB's , considered the best, were taken just before the Cowboys in the 2021 draft. They "settled" for Micah Parsons. They reached for Kelvin Joseph and, yet, a year later, they get DaRon Bland.

They reached for Schoonmaker in this year's draft even though they have less heralded but potentially productive guys like Ferguson, Hendershot, and Stephens.
