As opposed to making crap up? You are right I don't know all I can go by is what the team says and the action they take. Right now they have had him not throwing to now easing him into throwing the ball those things we do know. If what the MRI is to be believed it showed there was no tear, there has been no talk of any procedures to be done. So if we are not to believe anything the organization says does that mean we are to believe and make up stories to fit out own narrative?
No. The alternative doesn't have to be "making crap up?". The team has a clear track record of downplaying injuries, just as they did in this case. Inevitably when we hear some vague excuse from the team that causes people to become concerned it may be a little more serious, the same people jump at the chance to be the white knight and try to convince others there is no need to be concerned because the team said so. Not sure how many times it takes at getting burned before others start taking these injury reports from the team with a grain of salt.

Unless you know the status all one can go by is reports coming from the team and Dak himself. Of course by their actions. If people want to take that with a grain of salt so be it. All I can say at this time a month out from game 1 I'm not concerned and willing to take the reports at face value.

Feel free to do that. I don't know what is going on and don't try to predict what is going on. All I know is the team is untrustworthy when it comes to injuries.

I agree but not sure why the arguments have to occur when people doubt the injury news.

Dak is evidently out there throwing the ball now with Cooper so pretty much what the team has said they are doing. They said they would let him rest it, they did. then stated they wanted to ease him back in with him throwing on the side, he is. So what are they lying about? how are they not being honest? I get it that anytime people can find something to attack the organization they will do so, this is no different. Sometimes they don't know, I had back surgery and my doctor 1st prescribed rest and seeing if that would help me but after a period time we choose to do the surgery. I think sometimes they do say they will allow certain injuries to wait and see give it rest but sometimes the situation is unavoidable. I don't take that as a lie I take it as giving out some information that is relevant at the time they are giving it.

How does this compare to what was initially said? They don’t have to “lie”, but we can’t drop common sense when injury news comes out. A player coming back from another injury getting shut down for a little shoulder pain so soon into training camp and needing a couple days rest just didn’t make sense. And people who doubted it from the beginning turned out to be right.

Now we know it’s a shoulder injury and he is going to miss more time. It’s concerning, even if the team expects him back for the start of the season because it’s not guaranteed.

Dak felt soreness after making a throw so they took precaution, plain and simple. At this point in time they have the luxury of not having to rush it. Come regular season you may not. Fact is they have him throwing, it is a tear if it were major he would not be out there throwing the ball today. Yet he is. They have said what the situation was and it seems to be playing out as McCarthy stated from the get go.

Seems like you changed your tune from the previous injury thread where you expected him to return within a few days. It’s wasn’t as plain and simple as you originally thought, now was it?

I have to say I expected something more cynical out of you lol. But yeah somethings better than nothing for sure.

I figure if they have him doing all these exercises and even slightly throwing it can’t be too serious. Because they would just have him on ice if that was the case, no need to worsen it if it was that bad.
Appearances are not deceiving in this case.
