It's simple, really. If Dak plays horrible. Hypothetically, I'm talking 200 yards, 1 TD, 3 INTS and we still win the game. So, other guys stepping up and the defense playing well. Do you blame his poor play on rust or a sore arm, or are you going to be able to properly evaluate his play without excuses?

What I would say is he would need to step up and do better, who care the reason rust or sore arm or just a bad day, what the hell does it matter bottom line is his job it to go out and perform. If he has a bad outing as any QB can have I expect him to put in the work and correct it. You seem more concerned about excuses that in the end do not matter.

Okay. So, if he doesn't play well then I can not expect none of those "rust" or "sore arm" excuses from you then?

You’re really that concerned about what I may or may not be saying 4 weeks from now?

I’ll judge Dak’s play on his play. Nothing more nothing less.

I don’t think ive ever seen someone concern themselves so much, on a message board. About what other people are theoretically going to be saying 4 weeks from now.

It’s rather amusing
I'm just not a fan of the people that seem to baby certain players. I mean, look at your user name, you're not able to speak realistic about Dak.

What's really amusing is Cowboys "fans" that 4 weeks out have a built in excuse for their favorite player already.

Lol I can’t speak realistic about Dak.

this coming from the guy who is stressing himself out over what other fans on a message board may or may not be saying about Dak’s performance a month from now.

lmao. Yeah I am the one who can’t be realistic about things.

Oh no, other people might make “excuses” for Dak over a month from now. So let me whine and cry about his injury now, so that way I have a solid foundation built to get into those arguments, if he plays poorly in week 1.

This is your mindset and you have the gumption to criticize and worry about other people’s behavior.

Not really you are the one talking about concerns of rust or soreness. That is what is funny, you are providing excuses ahead of time and putting them on others. Dak has a job to do, if he plays poorly in this game vs Tampa or any other game as far as that goes then as a fan I would expect him to work and do better the next game. I have watched NFL since 1965 I have seen every QB have bad days none are immune to having a bad outing. As for Dak he has a job to do as starting QB I expect him to go do that job

I bet dollars to doughnuts that if it was the season. Dak would be taking an injection and playing.

folks have lost their minds over a week of early training camp.
Yep, the stupid and childish jabs illustrate their hatred. It's sad really, but some fans here are confused about what the off season is vs the regular season.

Some just can't support the guy. No matter how out of touch they are. The question is, how pathetic are things that some will frequent a fan forum and post nothing but negative BS?

I get how people can become jaded after years of frustration. For me I have always told people I'm a Cowboys fan plain and simple win, lose or tie I am a fan and I pull for this team and the players on it. I don't agree with every move made by the team but those things are out of my control. I don't have issue of people being critical until it becomes silly arguments. Heading into this season I have high expectation for this team and for Dak I also know in the course of a season most teams will have bad days and it falls to them and the coaches to bounce back after a bad game. What will happen in week 1? I have no clue, what I do know is we open the season with the world champs at their house and few will be giving the Cowboys much of a chance of winning. I look forward to the game knowing the challenge they have in front of them with Tampa Bay I think it is an early measuring stick of where we are as a team and the challenges in front of them for the season.

I don't invest much time on things I dislike, if any time at all. Trolling is a useless endeavor. I remember at the end of Landry's career and shortly after ownership changed, there were some really dark times. But we pulled through and won some championships. I'm not here to just pile on the bad times. What's the point?

Dak can end all this debating......just win one Lombardi....or one NFC Championship game....or get to an NFC Championship game,,,,,or maybe win more than just a single playoff game in 6 years

40 Million dollars a year requires he should do more than just commercials and perhaps do more than merely beating up on scrub teams in meaningless games

This thread reminds me of reading a transcript of Charlie Brown's teacher giving the class a lecture on Eastern European history.

It's become crystal clear that this isn't just a tired, sore arm from throwing as the Cowboys originally put out there. It's an injury. How serious? I honestly don't think they have any idea whatsoever..

Yeah, but the next time the Cowboys downplay an injury, the same people will be trusting every word of it.

As opposed to making crap up? You are right I don't know all I can go by is what the team says and the action they take. Right now they have had him not throwing to now easing him into throwing the ball those things we do know. If what the MRI is to be believed it showed there was no tear, there has been no talk of any procedures to be done. So if we are not to believe anything the organization says does that mean we are to believe and make up stories to fit out own narrative?
