Bad deal but it was made so much worse by the fact that JG got hurt in his very first game with Dallas and that turned out to be the one and only time he ever played with Aikman.
If you could have told Jerry, and Company, at the time of the deal that JG would hurt his knee in his first game in Dallas and that Aikman would then retire before ever playing another game with him there is no way they would have made that deal.
Unfortunately you don't get the benefit of knowing those types of things at the time you're making deals.
Jerry went all in to get Aikman another dang good WR who they believed Aikman could still do some great things with and injuries completely destroyed any chance of that ever materializing.
Some bad coaching plays a part in this as well because Galloway got hurt at a point in the game that he never should have still been in there anyway because Dallas was already getting KILLED by Philly at that point.
