Thanks for posting. "Serviceable" is definitely the right adjective to describe Free's role as a RT.

He's bad but to his credit he is still much better than he was 2 or 3 seasons ago when they asked him to take a paycut.

Hopefully Chaz Green shows something, I think he is talented, but he looks like a guy that will just stay hurt.

I sure hope Green gets healthy and stays healthy. I'm tired of wasting picks on talented yet oft injured players. It's sickening.

For a guy with the other limitations he has, Free's technique needs to be terrific. His lack of powere necessitates sound fundamentals and technique. And with age, Father Time will only rob him of more speed and athleticism, making technique that much more important.

The writing is clearly in the wall in terms of the youth movement on the offensive line and unless Free forces the issue, the Cowboys will be looking to replace him as soon as they can.

I don't really understand the fixation on Free when we have much bigger problems than him being the worst player on a very good line. Eventually, we need to find his replacement and have to hope Green can develop into that player, but this focus on Free just seems to be nitpicking an average player.

Free is far from the biggest issue and he is not as bad as fans believe he is. People trashed Harris last year and now praise him
Free is a middle of the pack nfl tackle, there are some better and some worse. Green may be the future or he may not. Time will tell but I suspect it won't be as fast as some fans want

thats my worry too,we spent a 3rd rd pick on a guy who was always injured in college and he is injured here too.

People don't want to admit it because it takes away from their Free and Carr whipping boys agenda but Doug Free has played as well as out "franchise" tackle Tyron Smith. Also Carr has been our best CB this year.

You have to have a guy like Free so you can afford the other studs, in a cap world, you can't have it all.

I think you can if you keep drafting a lineman every year in the first 3 rounds. You have to protect the QB in today's NFL and you have to rush
the passer on the other team. Until recently, Jerry has always been about finding the next shiny star not dull lineman. Nobody buys expensive
tickets to see dull, boring lineman play football.

Why do you assume hes missing Callahan? he had an awful season with Callahan as a coach too.
