Gavin Escobar's 4 year career as a Dallas Cowboys is almost certainly over.

He averaged 8 catches, 83 yards and 2 TDs per season during his tenure with Dallas.

I have this feeling he is going to go somewhere next year, start, and be a 55 reception, 700 yard guy. My only regret is that we never <really> got to see what he could do.

Anybody care to offer any guesses on where his career might go from here?

I think you're about right. 600-700 yds.

He had a key block on the outside (Jones, LB) on the game winning Zeke run in PIT, allowing him a clean hole to the 3-gap (Tyron was a master on the same play). I would love to re-sign him and actually use him

Shows how stupid we were for drafting TEs three times in the 2nd round. We either have no idea how to develop a TE or we had no intention of playing them in the first place. It's like we could care less about 2nd round picks. We either trade them away or waste them on TEs. There's a lot of talent in the 2nd round, and I don't mean depth, I mean starters and stars.

I eviscerated this draft pick back when we grabbed him.

Not big and strong enough to be a blocker...and not fast enough to be a receiver.

He just never had the physical skills.

I too, don't understand the obsession of drafting TE's so early when you have Witten who will be a starter until he retires... only if the picks were used on defense... early draft rounds are for starters, not backups.

He will definitely go somewhere else and put up some good numbers...so long it's a pass happy offense.... 750yrds, 6tds

Stupid?

Fasano has played 11 years. Bennett has played nine.

We picked quality players. Tons of second round picks taken those years are out of the league.

So sad to see board members with no perspective

I don't think we intend to play them which is a complete waste of a 2nd rnd pick. With that said, Romo was replaced and I think it's time Witten plays back up. Would love to draft TE Jake Butt. He's the real deal.

So long. Always hated this dude and the pick and won't care an ounce if he flourishes elsewhere

He's certainly strong here. Dude is legit. We didn't use him. It's that simple.

He was fortunate to stay in the way on that play.
I wouldn't call that strong. He nearly got backed into the play.
But I give him an "A" for effort.

He's always been aloof... a surfer dude from So California area.
Has the skill to be a decent TE in wide sets. Not sure he wants it badly.

He did his job. He held the edge. I will call that strong. You can call it what you want, brother.

He'll probably have a grab this year that's more impressive than Butler/TWill have had in their entire careers.

He had some hands for a TE when he came out

"Strong" would be to stand ground. The defender nearly collapsed the pocket. However, he held his
ground on what is called a reach block. His effort was high but he's not very strong. Swain would've
stopped the end in his tracks. Maybe next year, Rico will get a pancake block on the same play.

I'm not discounting the play. It's the most significant play he's made here. I was happy for him
when it happened.

I'm older than you so if you're gonna call me brother, at least be respectful... lol

I call everyone brother, brother. He was strong, sir. He stood his ground. Watch the clip. Jones is no joke. Zeke had a clean hole, sir.

Edit @RoboQB you're 45. Cut it out.
