It's really too bad the Cowboys final game against the Skins probably won't mean much. If the Boys lose that game and Greenbay wins out, Dallas still gets home field.

But however unlikely, now that the unfortunite injury to Campbell, that the Skins win out. Dallas will have the pleasure of personally ending the Skins season on what could have been a meaningless game, would be awesome.

As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I've learned to respect the Eagles and the Giants. I enjoy watching NFC East matchups over most all other sunday games. However, I can go on all day about all the things that make me hate the Skins. Dan Snyder, Joe Gibbs not shaking hands if he loses, Portis's obvious illiteracy that shows whenever he talks. Santana's stupid hand dance whenever he catches a first down. Charging admission to training camp. Snyder trashing the suite in Dallas one year during the Skins several year slide against the Boys. etc etc

The year the Skins went 15-1 and the Boys went 1-15 and Steve Walsh beat the Forskins in their own house made that year for me.

It's just too bad this years final game probably won't mean as much. :suxskins:

I hope we are in a position where Romo and some of the other starters only see very limited action in this game.

Yes, and I think that may mean we have to win our next 3 games. Unless, of course, we get lucky and the Packers lose 1-2 more games.

I think Dallas can and will and I would not be suprised to see the Pack drop 1 of the 4 games remaining.

If we do have the luxury of resting players, I wonder how Wade Phillips is going to handle it?

Will they play for a quarter, until the 3rd or not play at all and which positions will get the most rest.

I always worry about the intensity level being so low for 2 straight weeks, the last game of the season and the Wild Card Week before the first Playoff Game.

If GB loses a couple of games, this decision may even have to be made sooner.

Don't count the Commanders out. Who knows, maybe they will be better w/ a veteran qb and they just got Randy Thomas back. That is a big addition.

The part in bold never happened. In 1989 the Cowboys did go 1-15. They did beat the Commanders for that 1 win with Steve Walsh at the helm. However, the Commanders were never 15-1. That year they were 10-6, 3rd in the NFC East and missed the playoffs.

The final game will be in the divisional round of the playoffs at Dallas. Bring your popcorn.

Just imagine how beautiful it would be for Brad Johnson, Cory Procter, Stephen Bowen and Courtney Brown to go into their house and kick their ***. ;)

Yes that loss prevented us from making the playoffs. Horrible stuff. That was the year the Posse peaked as well, with Sanders, Monk, and Clark all having over 1000 yards receiving. Don't think that's ever been done on a Commander team before or since.

in 1992 we played the last game vs Chicago, it meant nothing to us because we already had the NFC East and #2 seed wrapped up...other than getting Emmitt the rushing titlle it meant nothing...we jumped out to an early lead, then benched all the key people...that worked out ok I think (blow out Philly, beat SF and dominate Bufalo)

in 1994 it was a similar situation...we went to NYG, rested a bunch of people and lost...then came back after the bye week and totally blew out Green Bay...injuries, bad officiating anf early turnovers did us in vs SF

ditto in 1996...we got to Washington with nothing to play for...Switzer rests everybody...the only difference here was we play the very next week vs Minnesota and blow them out at home, instead of having a bye week...injuries did us in vs Carolina the next week more than anything else

Kind of sucks for those of us who were planning to go to the game.

Unless the tickets drop to dirt cheap, I'll probably just stay home instead of freezing my butt off to watch Brad Johnson play.

IMo, if you are going to rest players for the final game I would not put them in the game at all. We saw what can happen in just one half of football last night with injuries and I would not give the Commanders one chance at Romo's knees if it were up to me!

No, it won't. Your team won't be in the playoffs.

I just took a quick look at the Packers' remaining games for this regular season.

They don't play anyone with a winning record (well, hopefully Detroit will be 6-7 after Sunday!)

I think they have Chicago, Detroit, the Rams, and the Raiders - going on memory. The Detroit game is a home game for the Packers. Best shot for an upset is maybe the Raiders or Rams?

I'd rather see the Skins win their games and have a chance to make the playoffs only to have their dreams crushed by the Cowboys. :D

Blasphemy!

First, the tickets will be dirt cheap.

Second, nothing would be more fun than watching Brad Johnson mop up the field with his old team.

Third, if for no other reason, go to catch my "4th ANNUAL BEAT THE SKINS TAILGATE"
