Final two runs by Dak

Dak really put his body on the line on those final two offensive plays before the kneel downs. On the 3rd and 14 run, you could see he took a hard shot to the knee that caused him to flip. On the touchdown sneak, he took hard shoulder to the head by Wagner which left a fluorescent mark on his helmet.

Without Dak making these plays, and the other run to the 1 yard line, we would not have won the game. But those shots really concern me. The team really needs to find a way to score in the red zone with Daks arm instead of his feet.

Agreed. Both huge plays

That said--am I the only one who's nervous that most weeks our QB's most memorable plays are with his legs rather than his arm?

Great win tonight. I'm pumped. But we left a lot of passing yardage on the field tonight

That WILL NOT get it done at NO

New Orleans will be looking to score early. They do not want this game to go down to the final possession as that caters to our style of play. We don't necessarily have to to throw it to get the job done, but we will need to make sure we cash in when we get to the redzone.

He also landed on his shoulder pretty hard. Lucky he didn't hurt it.
He was asked about those hits in a post game interview. But he said he was fine, it's part of the game.

Does any team ever go into a game and not try to score early?

We got used to a guy who liked to pass and was a great passer . Now we have a Football Player at QB that likes to win and can run past the line of scrimmage and impose his will when necessary .

What I like about Dak is he dosent run when its not necessary . But when its WIN OR GO HOME Dak can buckle his chin strap and lay the wood, make team pay with the power he has as a runner .
I love the fact he takes the game in his hands and wont be denied .

They didn't run Dak in the regular season nearly as much as they could have run him.

I'm OK going All-Out to win in the playoffs.

You aren't the only one, it's no secret, dude is a horrible passer.

Dak is not Romo where he uses his arm 95% of the time. Dak uses his legs more when needed. Dak has the size and strength to withstand such play with his legs. Remember, he played this way in college, so this is not new to him. Should Dak take less hits to his body when running? Of course, but he should be fine as long as he doesn't expose himself as much.

Looked to me like Seattle was out to injure as many Cowboys players as possible by aiming at our players knees and ankles. Goodell is the problem here since he doesn't come down hard at such dirty tackles. It's hard to ask Dak not to run when our receivers were struggling all game long to get open, especially in the redzone. My bigger concern would be having to use Cooper Rush in the playoffs if Dak were to suddenly go down with injury. That would pretty much end our Boys season.

Well,.. just yesterday in the game vs. Seattle, I think neither team was that worried about going up and being aggressive because they knew the other side was conservative too.. There was a lot of running and short passes on 3rd and long. We even threw a screen pass on the 1 yard line.

Then you saw in the 4th quarter, both teams opened the playbooks up and the scoring reflected.

Texans/Colts on the other hand is a definition of scoring early. The Colts punched the Texans in the mouth early and the whole dynamic of the game was dictated by their early advantage. The Texans now had to go for 7 in situations they may could have punted or gone for a FG.

I think in the Saints game, they are going to want to have the lead so that we can't sit on the rock all game. Their crowd is also going to be a factor. That's why I am hoping that we reclaim the advantage by getting a touchdown on the first or second drive (scoring early) and kind of neutralize them a bit. I think that's the best route to keeping that game manageable.

Dak is phenomenal player. I dont get the hate he receives on the board. Watched him at Mississippi St. He should have been the number 1 QB in that draft hands down. Hes not a running qb but he can run. Great game!

I was more concerned about how he was extending his arm out with the ball as he was getting hit
That ball could've easily been knocked out of his hand.

The goal line play had me thinking Dak is done for the year. He needs to run like Russell, the 3rd down run was acceptable but the goalie was foolish. He will get himself killed.

There are lots of Cowboys fans in New or Orleans. Dak might even have a large fanbase there, being a Louisiana guy. Hopefully a lot of the people will be in blue. There's also a lot of Cowboys fans in LA, maybe more than the Rams. I don't know if Chicago has a lot of Boyz fans, but the weather could be nasty there. It would be nice to have the NFCC game at AT&T.

It's the way he plays. 100% effort in every game. Not even his detractors can question that. But you bring up an interesting point about memorable plays. Because he has memorable pass plays, but his big plays running the ball seem to stand out more.

What I find interesting is that the passing game seems to open up more when we need it. I'm noticing a trend. When we have a lead our offense is conservative. When we're down or the other team is threatening us Dak is throwing balls downfield over the middle for big gains. I seen this in the game against the Commanders, Eagles, and now this game. Where is all that during the rest of the game? Don't get me wrong, I'm not blaming Dak. I'm thinking it's more of a play calling trend.

The QB draw was called by Linehan and Collins, his lead blocker was off the snap immediately from the 19 and Collins first contact with any defender was the SAFETY playing cover 2 at the 6 yard line, meaning Collins ran close to 13 yards straight before he met any defender. The Hawks were clearly playing pass on the third and long and their front was worn out, as evidence by the previous play that got called back when Zeke still trucked defenders on a like nine yard run.

Dak had a monster hole.

Blah blah blah.

How do you know what will get it done in NO?
A TD is a TD. Stop pretending that you are the authority on winning and losing in the NFL.

We have now won 8 out of the last 9 games.

What the H are you going on about.
