Now, it doesnt mean anything till its on paper, but ESPN rarely airs stuff on Sportscenter without concrete evidence.

ESPN never reported anything of the sort, they repeated what BP, Jerry and everyone else was saying, that he was pondering retirement (which he was).

ESPN never reported anything of the sort, they repeated what BP, Jerry and everyone else was saying, that he was pondering retirement (which he was).

BP NEVER said ANYTHING about him possibly retiring this year. He never said anything but the opposite.


And ESPN DID report it. Mort claimed to "Know" that BP was thinking of retiring since they're just good friends.


You're giving ESPN way too much credit.

Whats funny is ESPN is trying to set this up so they can pretend they broke the story. Now after 24 hours of denial the deal is "close" by later tonight or tommorrow it will be "official" and ESPN will have broken the story even tho a small station in Lubbock said it on Thursday!
