Finish this Fight videos are great and all, but dang, can the Break crew ratchet it down a notch?

"Which one is your favorite?".... followed by 5 minutes of self-congratulations all around the table.

I hate... no despise... being Mr. Party Pooper. But there does come a point when it's over the top.

Just like I hate, no despise, being Mr. Cynic. But there does come a time when repeating "he just faced so much adversity," and "he really wasn't supposed to be here" loses its impact.

In football terms... act like you've been there before. Please.

Some touchdown celebrations convey the idea that you're just not used to doing exceptional things. And so, in a sense, this is a compliment... it's beneath the Cowboys media people to get quite this verbose.

I've not been a harsh critic of Taylor up to this point, and have even been accused of being too nice. She's the bandleader on this one, though. Needs to tone down the enthusiasm, imo.

They're good. They're enjoyable to watch. I appreciate that the staff took the time and effort to put them together. I really do.

But let us fans do the praising. The praise seemingly ought to be sweeter that way, no?

I hate to be the critic but, the Cowboys have not been to a conference championship or SB in way over 20 years. People are crazy for this
team to do well and want to enjoy the ride so to speak.. You don't care for The Break, don't go to the website. Don't like the videos, pass them
by. Don't care for the Cowboy's media team, well, Fish has a pay site where you can watch some videos. Sometimes, if you don't care for
something, you should probably just keep it to yourself and move on.

its like pep rallys in highschool before the big game. its important for spirit, motivation, energy, enthusiasm and morale. It highlights or puts the spotlight on elements of this ball club that have been lurking in the shadows. Believe it or not the fanbase and im sure the team feeds on stuff like this. It's only positive not destructive or negative. I see nothing wrong with it. But you can never please everyone! You're just not pleased, and you have the right to your opinion and view but its bigger than you and I.

the Dak video apparently got some of the coaches teary eyed when they first watched it. Thats good stuff. They need confirmation that their jobs or things they (the things that may not be seen in the open) are not in vain.

Now you're critique of TAY TAY is another thing that has been touched and talked about in that "break or talking cowboy" thread a month ago.

I really enjoyed the videos. May be a little corny at times, but what I like is the fact that it's about OUR players who make up this awesome TEAM. Nothing about the videos is trashing our opponents, or trying to downplay anyone else. It's focused on OUR Cowboys. And it's cool to learn some of the tidbits you'd otherwise not know.

I disagree with anyone saying it needs "toned down". This is the Dallas Cowboys; we have more haters and naysayers than any other franchise. If we don't win the Suber Bowl this year, there will be a billion haters and trash talkers coming out of the woodwork after we lose. So let's get hyped while we're in it.

Knowing one of the subjects of the videos pretty well, I think you'd be surprised at how much adversity a lot of these guys have overcome to get here. And LittleD has it right. It's time to enjoy the ride. It might not seem like it right now but these type of seasons don't come around often.

Look at the top seeds in the NFC.

Dallas
Carolina
Seattle
Seattle
Atlanta
Green Bay
Atlanta
New Orleans
New York
Dallas

Only one repeat. Only three teams on there twice.

The "Break" crew are just a bunch of homers. How dare they go over the top on their Cowboys enthusiasm and self promotion.
How are they homers? Have you ever listened to them? Eagleton tows the line because he's a higher up, but Broaddus called for Garrett to be fired a couple years back, and Nick speaks his mind too. Micky is definitely a homer, those four aren't. Obviously fans of the team they're covering, but not blindly so

Folks, some of you are way off the mark here. Your response is directed toward someone who isn't excited about the videos themselves.

That's not me. No one can read precisely what I wrote in the OP and come away with that.

Don't mind being yelled at... but at least yell at me for what I actually wrote. Some, if not many, of you just don't seem to get what I'm getting at.

Commence with more yelling in 1... 2...

fair enough. may i direct you to the thread about the break and talking cowboys.

Appreciate the instruction, but no thanks.

Mind you, I waited a couple of extra days to see if this thing remedied itself. Today, when Hearn even went so far as to seem to think Broaddus prematurely cut off the chatter when he redirected and asked a genuwine football question to Campo?... I had to let off some steam and see if I was the only one thinking, "can we not keep the main thing the main thing???"

But if you're content with spending a chunk of time that way every day, and if that's how the majority feels, okay. That's all I wanted to measure. I guess there's just a couple of us, and I guess we just have a short fuse. I guess.

no i got you.
i was being facetious not instructing by the way.

i guess they have to fill that time up somehow and this is new? granted they spend way too much time talking about it i hear ya.

i can't stand TAY TAY either. She's a nice gal and im sure a good human being but her voice and sometimes the things she brings up as a social butterfly millennial are annoying. (yes i know a number of folks like this about her and thats why she is there i understand... all this stuff was talked about in that talking cowboys the break thread a month ago so i know her pros and cons).

Taylor's too annoying to watch the break

i cringe too man. its rough. i try and put that stuff in the backdrop but the texture of her voice is too sharp and discordant to get comfortable. oh well different strokes for different folks.

she's done a bang up job with the videos though i will give her that. she's doing good. but not my cup of tea in the audio dept.
