"Which one is your favorite?".... followed by 5 minutes of self-congratulations all around the table.

I hate... no despise... being Mr. Party Pooper. But there does come a point when it's over the top.

Just like I hate, no despise, being Mr. Cynic. But there does come a time when repeating "he just faced so much adversity," and "he really wasn't supposed to be here" loses its impact.

In football terms... act like you've been there before. Please.

Some touchdown celebrations convey the idea that you're just not used to doing exceptional things. And so, in a sense, this is a compliment... it's beneath the Cowboys media people to get quite this verbose.

I've not been a harsh critic of Taylor up to this point, and have even been accused of being too nice. She's the bandleader on this one, though. Needs to tone down the enthusiasm, imo.

They're good. They're enjoyable to watch. I appreciate that the staff took the time and effort to put them together. I really do.

But let us fans do the praising. The praise seemingly ought to be sweeter that way, no?

called having fun. pull the stick out of your hahaha and try it.

The Break and Talkin Cowboys, when I have time to listen, usually brings up some good discussion.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to have an open thread on here to discuss the shows instead of a few random threads every week.

Unfortunately with the offseason coming up soon, there won't be as many shows.

Mr party pooper, the vids are awesome. They can celebrate if they like. Its been a complete organizational effort this year and those guys help me to love this Cowboys team even more. I appreciate the effort and dont mind thier enthusiasm for the finished product.

They are over the top and I don't care. We should enjoy them as fans. What's wrong with enjoying the season? It goes back to some people trying to find a negative in everything this season. How many times on a Monday have we read on here the Cowboys won but...A player sucks and needs cut. The team gets picked apart and there's players that have had bad moments and some of the play calling was not the best but they went 13-3 with a rookie Quarterback. They have been a fun team to watch and so are the videos to me.

Dang, folks.

Again. And again.

Criticism is fine. Criticize at will. But can some of you please criticize THE ACTUAL ORIGINAL CRITICISM MADE, as opposed to one that was never made?

To wit... in case you missed it... it was explicitly said: "They're good. They're enjoyable to watch. I appreciate that the staff took the time and effort to put them together. I really do."

Soooooooo... please save me the yelling at me that the videos are... indeed... enjoyable to watch and that I should appreciate that they've been made. Why? BECAUSE I AGREED WITH THAT ALREADY s'helpme.

Rather, if you disagree with me, disagree with my assertion that they were over the top in how day after day after day there would be 5 minutes or so spent in what came across strongly to some of us as self-congratulation. As said, "Let us fans do the praising. The praise seemingly ought to be sweeter that way, no?"

Criticize that. That's fair game. The other isn't fair game because the other was never a point of contention to begin with. If you thought otherwise, please read more carefully next time.

But if you're gonna criticize hurry up... based again on how they dealt with it yesterday--sticking to discussion of the player himself--there's reason for suspicion that someone on staff got the message. They were decidedly more brief with the pats on the back, and to my mind, very appropriate (... and I posted my appreciation for that above, icymi).

The sense I get is that these guys all know each other and in general they may not get much publicity behind the scenes, so when they put out something solid the crew tries to give them some extra credit publicly to help them out. That is fine and all the first time or two, but the content of the video or the individual player struggles should be the meat of any of that conversation, not praising the people that made the videos and who's idea it was, etc.. The listeners are not the audience that you need to hype the media team to. In fact, you are more than likely to get backlash for things they are not doing when you do that. Keep it to football, with some small fluff needed for a broad audience. It's hard to please everyone, but talking about yourself pleases no one.
