I think it's a combination of a lack of talent and scheme. Even bad defenses show up sometimes. We're not even a bend but don't break defense. This is a give up the big play defense.

Your players aren't suited for it. You don't have any above average pass rushers outside of Ezeiruaku, which makes it difficult on the banged up secondary who can't cover in the first place.

With all the injuries there, any decent coordinator would draw up blitzes and mix up the coverage.

Yet tweedle dum just keeps running the same scheme rushing 4 guys who can't rush the passer and putting pressure on a secondary that cannot cover, especially in zone.

He clearly sucks. He was good with all-pro's like Sean Lee, but we don't have that here the game has passed him up. It happens to alot of coaches. Plus, the best coaches adjust their scheme around the players, not vice versa, right?

This There is no "Scheme" these players could make look like a real defense... you dont have NFL starters on defense..period.

Right now....it would be hard pressed to contend for an XFL title. I only see Clark and Bland as viable being starters on an NFL roster right now.

I am not ready to ship him out. this would be the 3rd DC in 3 years and firing him would make it 4.

we have no talent on this defense. none. zero. I venture to say we could take players off the street and other teams' practice squad and achieve better. at least they would be hungry. you can't take a pile of crap, put it on a nice plate (cowboys stadium), garnish it with parsley and mashed potatoes and call it a steak dinner. cut into it and it stinks, because its a pile of crap.

lets get some real players on this defense and then decide.

I am not sure any coach could run any type of scheme with this morons on the field. perhaps eberflus should realize that he needs to switch to a high school defense. heck, doubt if these players could execute that....

Firing Eberflub does nothing unless 2 things follow.

1. Schotty as head coach should hire who he wants.
2. The guy Shotty hires better not be from the same stupid defensive tree as the monty kiffen, marinelli, everflub tree who likes small guys who can't tackle. These are all guys jerry has hired often before he hires the HC.

This is what I found for him and it's a no for me. He isn't ready for the DC job. it has got to be Schotty's call tho, whoever it is must answer to the HC or it's pointless.

you dont fire a coordinator half way through the first season - that doesnt build any type of cohesion.

He has had 1 draft, likely needs 2 more to have the right talent + FA's to even be able to run his scheme.

Simply not enough time...the knee jerk reaction is to want to get rid of all of them, but the reality is that it will only make things worse right now. The smarter bet is to play through, evaluate, maybe make a change in the offseason but make sure to get the young guys to develop as much as possible. Putting a new coordinator in mid season doesnt do that.

You do when he's lost the locker room and has taken zero accountability for anything and when he simply will not adjust or pivot.

It can't possibly get any worse.

There's no precedent because there's never been anyone this bad. Guy is awful.

If he's here next season, expect the same.

Why would you keep a last place DC? Our personnel isn't great. But they aren't last talent wise.

The best DCs know how to scheme around players' strengths AND weaknesses.

Everbust acts like the players weaknesses are their strengths. I will never understand it.
