Fire Eberflus, Please

IMO Harris still needs time to develop into a DC. Chatter was he may not have manged Diggs well, and now we are dealing with it. It's hard to learn your own style and develop how you inspire, engage and ignite players.

Being a DC you have to be more objective and make hard decisions.

As for my pre-season choice I also would have preferred Brian Flores. Smart coach. Hard-nosed coach. A good fit for the challenges the team had this upcoming season.
Yeah I'm hearing that kind of a he was coddled BMOC treatment now when he doesn't get that he starts being late for meetings starts with the insubordination the way he talks to his coaches and what not that's all rumor but sure Yep Brian Flores was my choice I feel the guy got a raw deal he's got a lot to offer and the Cowboys would be a perfect place for him to resurrect his reputation...

Because whatever he did will be covered up by the Jones family Because they have so much attention on themselves that you really not gonna overthink what Flores did 'cause I don't really care I think he had a right to do what he did...

the dolphins are not better without him I think they made a mistake...

Eberflus looks to be clown, and I'm not exactly trying to say otherwise, but... Defense has been out a bunch of players - Diggs, Revel, Bland, Hooker, Wilson, Butler, Carson, etc. Plus, all of our OL starters, plus CD Lamb have missed multiple games. That's like half of the all-22 that have been out.

I mean, it's delusional to think we'd have even gotten the 3 Ws we did get.

I just think about the Ravens. They had also caught the injury but early, then they got a bunch of players back and have won two straight. Here's to wishful thinking, bro! Can the boys do the same?

Eber seems to want players to fit his scheme rather then this is the roster how do i make the most of it . I don’t mind Donovan Wilson near the line of scrimmage as run support keeping the streets clean of TE’s and RB passes in the 10 yard range , further out then that forget about it .

Arizona was bound and determined to hit Harrison with passes as he came out of the tunnel for warm ups yet Bland seemingly had no coverage support the entire night .

The Raiders fired the ST coach after the Denver debacle the punt block being the last piece of gum Pete Carroll had in his pocket .
You know that's not a big flex you do realize and we don't watch a lot of the Raiders games but Chip Kelly's been horrible Gino Smiths not been very good and both of them are still upright so let's calm down on where Pete Carroll would actually get to go I mean he chose to make an example out of a special teams coach not that impressive to me...

How many times has Jerry Jones hired a new DC whose philosophy requires players with skills completely different from what the current Cowboys defensive players possess?

The same thing happened when they brought in Bill Parcels and then Wade Phillips.

This isn't Eberflus's issue, this is totally on Jerry Jones.

Jerry has spent three decades constantly trying to shove square pegs into round holes.

Ok I thought the Cowboys punt block TD against Arizona was pretty nifty . Supplied 7 of a lousy 17 points

We are at 3 DC's in 3 years. That would make it 4 in 4 years.

Considering the injuries, bad players and players that don't fit his system, I'm not sure what we can make of him yet.
I'm fine with that.

Just get a better coach in here.

Yes, I believe I posted this before the Cardinals game. I have no doubt that Quinn, and even Zimmer, could get vetter results out of these guys. If they could just move 5 spots up in every category, they may have had a fighting chance.

They should have fired him earlier in the year. Because you're right. It's too late to matter now.

I guess we'll see what he can do when Overshown, Williams, Revel are playing. But I still think there are much better options than Everflus. He was one of the worst hires they could have made--for these players, for stopping the run, defending the pass, etcetera.

In the NFL, you have to be able to blitz. And he just doesn't concern himself much with that.

The dumbest thing they could do is keep him around next year after trading for Williams.
Obsession.

Observation.

You'll come around, eventually, if they're dumb enough to keep him around.

I don't think that happens. Dude is a trainwreck of an NFL coach.
I don't know the Xs and Os well enough to evaluate him, do you? Some of my good friends on here who are more knowledgeable than I have said he's bad, but aren't you interested to see what he'll do w/ some better players? I honestly do not know if he sucks or not, I admit it. However, getting more talent in here on D is much more important than firing Eber.

Jim Schwartz is in the 3rd year of his contract with Cleveland apparently

I know 4 DCs in 4 years is a lot, but why not

no idea if there are any connections to Jerry or Schotty, which would probably need to exist

Players busting coverages all year long should have had him fired already.

Changing coordinators in the past doesn’t mean you should keep this dud.

“ Here we go “ ok now Logan Wilson and Q Williams offer up some much needed talent and it all starts MNF a week from now in Vegas . With Jeanty running the rock won’t take long at all to see what’s in store .

If the Cowboys continue the floundering and poor scheming putting the team in a hole type play at seasons end make a change . Sorry it’s a results oriented business . Go out and interview an Aubrey Pleasant secondary coach at the Rams who’s coached under Wade Phillips in his career .

Rumblings are Pleasant or Chris Shula the Rams DC may get the Giants HC when the incapable Giants make a change 2026 . Think outside the box Jerry stop hiring people because they’ve been here before . This D looks terrible .

I do know my way around Xs and Os. Probably not that great at terminology but conceptually I totally get it.

It's not always easy to tell what play has been called on every play. So I'd need to rewind and look at what's happening, even then even the experts don't always know the exact play call.

That said, I'm not an expert by any means. But I don't have to be an expert psychologist to understand basic or intermediate concepts in psychology, for example.

What I see from UberSus is stubbornly sticking to a rigid scheme that he never thought about deviating from even when it wasn't working. This team was not getting the pressure needed to disrupt plays, and he just stuck to the scheme, no blitzing, until it was too late.

If we lose to the Raiders, especially if by fault of the defense, expect the possibility of someone else to taking over.

Jerry might copy what's happening in Washington. And he should.

Even someone who doesn't know scheme dynamics can see it's not working... Better players, OK.

A good defensive coordinator gets the best out of their players. It doesn't have to be THE best. But a good coordinator adjusts scheme to fit the players and doesn't necessarily need to overhaul the entire defense to have success because they utilize the players' strengths and hide their weaknesses.

BeeberFluff tries to hammer players' weaknesses into a rigid scheme, their strengths be damned.

It's the same thing he was criticized for in Chicago. That, and never taking any accountability for himself.

Like ever.

People like him don't change.

The only way to achieve change is to fire his sorry ace.

Look I feel the same way about him but I also think it's wrong to be blaming just him we had too many injuries getting rid of Parsons right before the season started we've already heard all this and as much as I'd like to see him go I'd like to see him at least finish out the season to see what he can do with some of these new lineups he'll be able to deploy then we'll find out if he has any fight in him if he has any flexibility can he get this team looking at least let's say we move up to the 20th ranked defense please... That's his goal just like Mike Zimmer finished the season stronger than he started well that's just what we want to see a strong finish..

And then he most likely going to get fired if he does not show any kind of improvement in real improvement like I said move from 32 to 20 that would be passing up 12 other defenses before the last game of the season would be very nice then I would think about keeping him....

Do you think Eberflus is capable of helping this team win a Superbowl?
