go run and be free. annoy jones till you simply can't annoy him anymore. but he doesn't read this bbs as far as i know, so you're only annoying people who realize these windmills are not going anywhere.
now how productive is that in your dream, bb?
if you want change that badly go do it. it won't happen in here and judging from the replies, a grassroots movement isn't likely to happen here either.
and if i paid hundreds of millions of my dollars for something i'd NOT let some whiney fans tell me what to do with my property. would you? what has jones ever done or said to make someone think this would be possible?
again, if you want to change jones, then going after him would be a good place to start. whining in here is just whining.
Well, perhaps the point of doing it here is not to get Jerry's attention just yet, but that of the fans. In order to join the cause of the initial post.
I don't think anyone in their right mind believes Jones reads any message boards, but if the idea is to get Cowboy fans to behave in a way that might influence him, the most logical place to start is, where Cowboy fans hang out: message boards such as this.
As for property, the Dallas Cowboys and any sport team or entertainment enterprise is not really the property of anyone exclusively. If having grown men play in your yard for you and only your pleasure, that might be a salient point, but when you expect people to prop up your
entertainment enterprise with their hard earned money, for said entertainment, you'd do better to realize that 'whiny' customers are your friend. Your very best friend in fact, if you want to keep your enterprise turning a profit.
Of course, like many corporations The Dallas Cowboys have attained such a degree of wealth as to be self sustaining and really bankrupting it might be a lesson in futility and only a generations long decline could really make a difference.
That said, I think the people proposing these things do exactly what they say they're going to do: boycott, put up billboards, write letters. Why not? It's something of a showing of passion.
