"winning seasons" is such a low bar in elite football. Those things matter to the San Jose State's and University of South Carolina's of the world.

The Dallas Cowboys' success is measured by Lombardi trophies.

Yaaaaayyyyy, 9-7. Hang the banner from the rafters!

not to Garrett homies
All these guys are fans of Garrett and not the Cowboys

Garrett still needs to be fired. Despite the win vs Philadelphia. Color me unimpressed. Don’t get sucked back in folks. This franchise is going NOWHERE with Jason Garrett as it’s head coach.

Some of the worst moments in FRANCHISE HISTORY have happened under Jason Garrett’s creepy watchful eye. He has single handedly lost games no coach in Dallas Cowboys history have ever lost before.

We are forever 8-8 with Garrett. It’s time for a change. And a meaningless NFC East Championship won’t change that either

I repeat FIRE JASON GARRETT
My crystal ball says Fire Garrett despite winning the Superbowl in the near future.....

No, he doesn’t.
It’d be nice if our fans had a little better understanding of what’s actually been going on all this time though.

We haven’t been 8-8 in a while. And when we were, it was with teams with sub-.500 talent.

I think its now or never. Garrett has accomplished a lot here, but it's not enough. He's been given ample time and the opportunity to put his fingerprints all over this team. We can probably agree there is a reason his contract hasn't been renewed up to this point. Its a tall task, but ownership feels they've given him the roster to make it happen. Its a trip to the NFC championship or bust. I dont think he has to win that game though. I think he only has to make progress and get there.

I get it. But like I said on the above page there are numerous wins and losses you can remove or add of this how you are going to look at things. Did the Cowboys not rest their started in 2016?

Yes they did. If you remember we had Sanchez playing most of the game. That was a gimme for the eagles. This happens when a top seed team doesn't need to win the last game. You know this already.

I realize these games go in the win and loss columns, and that's fine. It's just when people use games like that to further their point that it becomes dishonest. It's the reason statistics is considered one of the three biggest lies. Because people twist them. And this case is one of the worst because we can't even say the cowboys would have won anyway.

That’s my point. So do we say in 2016 we won 14 games or 13? Do we take away all our wins where a team rested its starters?

Yes. We should be 7-0. We held the Saints sans Brees to 12 points, but we could only generate 10? We had the Packers at home and couldn't get up for a big game, knowing what was at stake. And we loss to the Jets? The Jets? Let me say that again, the Jets?

Fire Jason Garrett, YESTERDAY!

it really don't matter whether they fire him or not this team is not beating green bay or the saints or the niners or the rams IF they make the playoffs personally I think phillly comes back to win the division when the cowboys lost to the jets I knew it was over a elite playoff team with a playoff coach don't lose the jets

He's been gifted 9 years for no apparent reason. Has something changed? Let him "coach" on and see if he can set some kind of futility record.
It's crazy. There isn't an owner whose kept a coach over a decade with only a couple of playoff wins. Hopefully the Cowboys won't be the first.

Every year is not equal. I don't know what would have happened in 2016 had the cowboys played all out. I'm merely saying that in 2017 I can be fairly certain Dallas wasn't going in to Philly and beating them if they needed that game. I can't come to that conclusion in every season with a similar ending. Because In most we just don't know.

lol we don’t know. I mean I get it. Saying he went 8-8 sounds better than saying 9-7 in regards to those who want him fired but in the scheme of things it really doesn’t matter.

Invent the time machine, dial up 2007 and steer clear of Coach Not About The X's And O's Of Football.

How are we forever 8-8? You need to move past those seasons they were a long time ago.

Since then we have been:
12-4
4-12 when we lost Romo
13-3
9-7
10-6

4 winning seasons in 5 years and revamping the offense in the process. We all want better but we arent the same as those 8-8 years either.
So you’d like to keep Garret and see how this all plays out? I’ve got bad news for you. It’s not gonna end well

It's funny how people think one game or one season will make the difference on opinions about Garrett.

He is who we think he is.

Pluses and minuses. Not an Xs and Os guy. Poor game/clock manager. Sees the value of the oline and industrious players. Can work with Jerry. Has the respect of his players, and boots those who don't respect him.

It's possible a team could overcome his limitations on gameday and win a SB. Possible, but unlikely.

He's probably better at basic day to day team management than some other coaches. If you've got a dumpster fire of a team, he'd put out the fire and get you moving forward.

Garrett consistently puts a decent product on the field. He's also always a gameday liability on the sidelines. If you want to maximize regular season wins while minimizing the associated playoff wins, he's your guy.

He is who we think he is.

I want him gone. We don't have a dumpster fire we need put out. We need a guy whose coaching pushes us over the top, not holds us back.
Exactly. Super Bowl is the goal. At least that’s what it used to be in Dallas

It doesn't end well for most teams. I know we hype up our team but let me know when we really have the better team. Know what the 3 beast teams in the NFC have in common? Good defenses.

I am an old long time fan and I don’t feel like you claim us old long time fans feel
So you’re good with making the playoffs basically every year and competing for SBs then to not even making an NFC championship game in 25 years?

Hmmmm I’m starting to see the problem
