Mike McCarthy, a coach who has won a Super Bowl and has had plenty of success came out and said in his press conference that he didn't do a good enough job today and to blame himself (in a game where his 3rd string QB was forced to play).

Meanwhile, how many times have we heard that accountability from Garrett since 2011?

last week he blamed the lack of offensive possessions for the piss poor offense. he's a weasel that will find a way to weasel his way out of this one with jerry too.

But...whats even tougher is enduring these games and then NOT having changes made. And I'm afraid thats where we're at. Jerry has put all his faith in JG....to the point where I cant even see him being let go after the season. And I certainly dont think he will fire him during the season, as that will just magnify Jerry;s mistake. The entire world will be zoned in on it.

Let him try to keep him after this season.

He'll simply reaffirm his place as the NFL's replacement for Al Davis' insanity in Oakland.

And he'll do it with a fa base in revolt, not filling his stadium and not buying junk with his logo on it.

He will render his season over before it ever begins and render his team irrelevant.

After this beat down, I seriously think this team goes in the tank the rest of the way.

I now believe that even dreams of 8-8 are misguided.

Garrett hire was worse than Campo and others. The reason being, the talent here masked his incompetence and wasted the years of great players. It destroyed the culture of what could have been dominance for some nonsensical RKG, that nobody can really define. It's made JJ more tolerant of this incompetence cause his belief in this golden boy.

Worst coaching hire in the history of this franchise bar none.

Exactly.

The defense was of course embarrassingly inept, but the offense got clocked by a bunch of nobodies as well.

They were no help at all.

Uh.. a bunch of nobodies?

NO has had one of the best defenses in the league so far this year.

That was Garrett's Packers game.

That team quit. I dont care what anyone says. That offense was actually running clock trying not to get slaughtered.

Yep...............if it wasnt for the rest of the division sucking...........Opie would be gone.

If we lose that game in New York in 2 weeks.........................Opie might want to start cleaning his desk out.

Uh.. a bunch of nobodies?

NO has had one of the best defenses in the league so far this year.

And uh, who do they have playing in it?

Who's there doing such a great job of rushing the passer? Or the shutdown corners?

Heck, they were picking up spares that we let go and even Butler got hurt!

People like to try to make excuses that coaching doesn't matter and that players win games. The saints sure as heck don't have better players on defense than we do on offense, but they owned us all night long.

We've got tons invested in our defense while they're completely rebuilding theirs and yet our 'High-powered offense' couldn't muster 200 yards?

Sorry, but that is inexcusable and an indictment of Garrett, Callahan, and the entire offensive scheme.

Junk it, it's garbage that everyone in the league has figured out.

I'm all for firing this clown, but I don't believe the guy making the next coaching hire is going to make the correct choice. He's never shown an ability to try and find the right coach, just someone he is comfortable working with (parcells being the exception).

The next coach will be saddled with the same poor roster , a horrid cap situation, and an over bearing owner and his incapable son. Other than that the future looks swell.

Pay no attention to this constant negativity.

I don't think I've ever read a post resembling any sort of positivity coming from you.

By all means, blame me for this.

49-17 is all my fault for not pumping sunshine.

Me and anyone else not happy with this disgrace should be banned.

After all, we're the real problem.

Yeah. If it wasn't for the turnovers in the first game, we would have lost to the Giants. We are in serious trouble as should be Joan Rivers and Jason Garrett and Kiffin.

Jerry jones fault has not been that he interferes with Garrett, JJs fault has not been letting this clown of a coach go. JJ has done whatever was in his power to help Garrett, including surrounding him with experienced help. He spent premiere money on CBs. He got the best DL coach in the game to generate TOs to help the offense. last year, Ginger was saying TOs were the reason for losses, queue in firing Rob Ryan. But anyone with a sense can understand that with an incompetent offense, a defense can't be that aggressive.

I really think this team goes in the tank after a game like this. This was one of the worst beat downs in the history of the NFL.

40 1st downs?

Seriously?

If Opie had any pride he would turn in his resignation tomorrow.

No doubt in my mind the Giants are going to kick our arse.
