Why are people thinking the Skins will make the playoffs? I dont' think they'll sniff the playoffs. They were TERRIBLE last year and what makes anyone think they'll improve enough to make the playoffs? Good D, terrible O. Yea, they've got a new QB, but he's not what he once was and he's always been a choker. No receivers, especially receivers that strike fear into defenses. Old RBs that are past their prime and a poor O line with a rookie at LT. How does all that equal a playoff appearance? Just don't get it.
Again, you have a great chance to be right, especially if Haynesworth is shipped out.
If he is traded, I don't like their chances at all.
If their defense maintains their level of play, they have some weapons on offense. They will rush the ball, even if it doesn't work. That will eliminate some turnovers and play to their defense. Moss is still there, and he has to be respected. They have a good TE and a good H-back/TE. McNabb gives them a proven winning QB, Micheal Jackson dance or not, big ego or not. He must be respected. If they can shorten the game and get into the 4th quarter, they have a proven QB now. Their "old" running backs are accomplished, and they are probably hoping to catch lightning in a bottle, like an O.J. Anderson (Giants 1990). The Giants' defense may be vulnerable, and I like McNabb against his old team due to the revenge factor.
The Giants defense was absolutely roasted last year, and their offensive line didn't run the ball very well, either. Plus, McNabb has owned the Giants. He's their daddy. The Eagles are going with a QB who has started two games in the NFL, and they have some secondary issues for sure. Again, I don't think the Eagles are going to just hand an accomplished QB to a divisional rival and just skate away nice and happy. They are going to pay.
If Washington can get to second place in the division, they have a chance to make the playoffs, imo.
However, if Haynesworth is traded, I think they are in big, big trouble. I don't like them if he is traded.
